Hmmm, I guess she prefers the naked hippies and gays parading in the streets protesting against Bush and the war in Iraq? Or maybe she wants us to burn our bras instead of making sensible comments and questions?

I think we should ‘dress up’ just for town hall meetings! What says FReepers? Maybe I’ll show up in a full length gown with a tiara.

LOLOLOL... That would be a riot! Maybe dress up...or even wear Halloween type costumes or cover ourselves in TEA bags! Boxer might get more than she asked for. This could be the start of another grassroots movement idea...and it came from a Democrat. Hillarious idea, RushIsMyTeddyBear.

That's because they came from real jobs. I see the same thing at the polling place. Old farmers with cow manure up to their knees and I don't bat an eye and often let them move ahead of me so they can get back to work.

The Democrats have lost the American people. The fact the are now attacking the average American is pretty sad.
The campaign has ended and the DNC is still campaigning and calling Americans a MOB.
What a Joke the Democrats and Obama are.
Obama is toast and the other democrats are trashed if they don’t run fast from Obama.
Bravo to Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Greta VanSustern.

Boxer complaining that Americans showing up to protest haven't dressed as nicely as before is such a stupid comment when...her “Emperor” Obama is wearing no clothes - ala the fable! And only we, the children, are able to see it, and call it. Dumb Dems and Liberals still see him as what he wants them to believe he is and are too chicken and embarassed to admit they put him in the WH and are stuck with him.

I think you misunderstood her. She thought they were too well dressed. My take is that she said that the last time she saw well dressed protesters was at an Algore appearance. I think she was saying that the protesters now, coming to the town hall meetings are not as well dressed. As though the people who are showing up are not dressing respectfully enough for her taste, or for the speakers featured. That seems to be what she said, IMHO and others.

I think she was saying that the protesters against Gore were dressed up and staged that way and said that was the last time she saw people dressed up like this until these protests, and that’s why she knows these are staged too.

I see your point. But I have also seen many of the videos of the Town Hall mtgs. And there are plenty of people in casual work clothes, like farmers and such. But, whatever I think we can both agree her comment was stupid. And confusing. And yet, a good old try to get everyone in fancy duds as proposed by FReeper, RushIsMyTeddyBear, would be a good idea. Or maybe we should all wear “boxer” shorts over our clothes, LOL.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Barbara Boxer comments on the attire of the health care protesters, saying she hasn’t seen such “well-dressed” people since the 2000 Florida recount.

Barbara Boxer is used to be greeted by K Street lobbyists who wear foreign tailored suits and pay for the champaign lunches she goes to while receiving campaign donations. Regular Americans, her constituents, waiting to talk to her about policy are shown the door and told they are an unruly mob.
She is sure Omama will make our elections into Venezuela sham elections so no regular people bother her in the future.
