I hope..I hope...I’m very curious to see how many people are going to show up in Washington, DC. In my mind, that will be the turning point...yelling and screaming and emailing and posting is one thing, but actually going to the place where it counts is going to tell the tale.

If we don’t get at least a million people, I say it’s over.

Rationing WILL happen, it’s a consequence of the program. To say that it is not mandated is political trickery on seniors and it’s disgraceful. These people will stop at nothing.

THERE IS NO REFORM TO THE BILL, IT WILL COST THE TAXPAYER MORE THAN THE CURRENT SYSTEM AND LOWER CARE.

Did you turn them in to the Typical-White House for sending ‘fishy’ emails about healthcare?

It is what it has always been - a front group for the Democrats. These various groups pretend to care about something - women’s rights, the elderly, the homeless, etc. - but it is just a giant scam to funnel money to Democrats and other liberals.

AARP has always been about soaking up as much tax money as they can.

Straight from the propaganda room at the Whitehouse...

It's a strange coincidence that their "facts" just happen to be identical to the talking points cards that the Obama Administration gave to democrat congressmen before the August recess (their was a story about that a couple days ago).

Maybe AARP needs to change their name to the "Axelrod Association for Recycled Propaganda"

Of course, the bigger picture of why AARP supports the healcare bill.

Who do you think will be the ones that provide
“end of life” counseling?

For a fee of course paid by you, the taxpayer. Just like they get fees to counsel seniors on mortgages from HUD!!!

I just got another enrollment form from them last week. I'll be 56 soon and they've been trying to recruit me ever since I turned 50. I usually just throw the form away, but this time I gave them a piece of my mind and sent it back. Hopefully, they'll leave me alone in the future!

FACT #2: No legislation currently in Congress would mandate the rationing of care. Period.

Legislation not really needed for that. It's the shortfall of money that will bring about rationing of health care.

I did the same thing. Used their “business reply mail” envelope to do it too so it cost me nothing except about 5 minutes of my time. Maybe if they see potential suckers, er, members, refusing to join up, maybe they will re-think their position.

I don’t believe them when they say they haven’t endorsed any plan. And since Medicare will continue on as before, shouldn’t they really shut the hell up because it doesn’t ultimately affect Medicare recipients?

No longer can you remain anonymous hiding behind a screen name!

We have discovered you portrait (along with other, more incriminating photos) and we are sending your picture (below) to AARP, who will in turn report you to the Whitehouse and DHS.

Actually, that's my hubby - he's the Prince. I'm just the woman behind the throne, so I'm still incognito!

Besides, as the Prince always says: "Their weapons have no effect on me!"

I left them years ago. I might re-join just so I can quit in protest again. . . . .
NAH I can't let them have any of my hard earned money.

So if the end-of-life discussions were removed from the proposal, would more people want it? Polls indicate that there is a generational split, where more people over 50 are opposed to this than those under 50.
Since the seniors already have a government-run health care they like, they might like this whole thing if the prospect of being made into soylent green was removed.

He’a a lying son of a bitch!!!!

I wouldn't call him a son of a bitch, however, if his mama were to run out from under the porch and bark at me I wouldn't be surprised.

You said “Honestly, I don’t think this group gives a damn about elderly anymore. All they want from the elderly is dues.”
I say, “Sounds like a union to me!”

That’s pretty much all they’ve become is a union.
