A 17-year-old boy who was killed during what police described as an attempted home invasion Wednesday in South Knoxville had a criminal record but no history of violent offenses, court records show.....Wooten had faced charges five times since 2007, including arrests for possessing a counterfeit substance on school grounds, disorderly conduct, inciting a riot, vandalism, criminal trespassing and resisting a police stop, according to court records....When he [the homeowner] was opening the door, two suspects tried to push their way in, DeBusk said. He pulled the gun from his pocket and fired twice, and one of the suspects fired at least once at him....

The post states words to the effect that he did not have a record of violence or something like that.

Do you think disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and inciting a riot indicate a strong tendency toward violence.

Also, the vandalism, depending on the circumstances, may be an act of violence. Vandalism could be writing one’s name on a wall, or taking an axe to a Christmas display in someone’s front yard while they are looking out their front window.

Here's a pic of the deceased perp.

Yep, a f'ing retard. What is that, sign language? Good riddance, a-hole !

The house in question sounds, well, questionable!

Man who shot, killed home invader identified; police ID slain teen suspect

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police will leave it up to the District Attorney General to determine is charges will be filed in connection with a fatal home invasion early Wednesday morning.

Arsenio Wooten, 17, is dead.

Police say he was shot as he tried to enter a south Knoxville home.

The person living in the home, identified by friends as Richard Allen Naleway fired the shots.

Neighbors weren't surprised.

Many are suspicious of extra-curricular activities at Naleway's home.

Naleway, for his part, says he never expected something like this would happen to him.

"We figured it was going to happen sooner or later and it did.," says neighbor Glen Loveday

Loveday spent much of Wednesday morning watching police come and go at his neighbor's house on Carls Lane in South Knoxville.

He's not sure what happened, but he's suspicious.

"I'd say they're going to find guns and if they didn't get rid of their drugs they'll find drugs," says Loveday.

Around 5:30 am, the home became a crime scene.

KPD Spokesman Darrell DeBusk says the man who lived there, identified by neighbors as Richard Allen Naleway, grabbed a gun before he answered a knock at his door.

"As he was opening the door, two males tried to push their way in. He fired off at least two rounds. The suspects fired one round," says DeBusk.

Police went to a local hospital after getting a call a gunshot victim was on their way but they never arrived. Instead, 17 year old Arsenio Wooten of Knoxville was found on the property.

"As it began to get daylight this morning, that's when the body of one of the individuals was found lying in a gully along the driveway," says DeBusk.

The second suspect still hasn't been found.

Naleway, and his wife spent much of the day answering questions from police which crime scene technicians and investigators searched his home and processed evidence.

Loveday says there have been numerous parties at the home in the past and feels maybe this incident may actually help things on Carl's Lane.

"We can't have a nice neighborhood with all this mess going on and the policemen can't do anything about it," says Loveday.

Naleway rented the home from Knoxville City Councilman Steve Hall.

Hall says he's lived there for several years.

Meanwhile, police are continuing to search for the second suspect who they admit, may have also been shot.

But they have no word on his identity.

If you can help police at the KPD tipline at 215-7212.

Again, the da will determine if charges will be filed against Naleway or the other suspect if he's found.

I used to run a "prayer-and-share" group at the Regional city jail.
When guys would talk about doing break-ins, I would just think to myself: "You idiot, you could easily wind up with a huge hole in your chest if you pulled that with a home like mine"
Then I'd silently pray they would choose another profession when they got out - so I wouldn't have to shoot them.

Crime is a dangerous occupation. Too bad he was raised by losers who didn’t teach him better values.

The homeowner likely would've only lived another few seconds if he hadn't shot the punk.

Good point.

“Many are suspicious of extra-curricular activities at Naleway’s home.”

extra-curricular? er... they make it sound like Naleway was running a university out of his house.

Obviously from the picture this punk has a disability — some horrible crippling form of rheumatoid arthritis, or palsy, or maybe he was burned in a terrible accident.

The homeowner is going to have to hire an army of lawyers to defend against the murder charge. This man was crippled, and shooting him was a violation of his civil rights, not to mention a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act!

Funny how these sympathetically written MSM articles never seem to mention the sorry job done by the parents.

Then again, you might argue the parents didn’t raise him. His peers in the government schools did.

Lord of the Flies.

Yes, and if you recognized the perp as you pointed the gun, you might hesitate just long enough for them to get the upper hand and kill you (and they would be more likely to kill you since you recognized them!).

The exception doesn't prove the rule - sometimes nice people get bad kids - and vice versa. Maybe that's it - or maybe it's just liberals protecting the dem victim group called "criminals"...

Unfortunately the primary "victim group" to which the perp belonged, not mentioned in the article, is already far overrepresented in criminal activity.
