Obama's Approval Rating Drops to 50 Percent, Poll Shows (The honeymoon is over, except for the MSM)

President Obama's approval rating has dropped to 50 percent, according to a poll released Thursday, a new low for the president as he tries to shepherd health care reform legislation through Congress in the next few months.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows 50 percent of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing compared to 42 percent who don't.

That's the lowest number since Obama took office, and down from a 57 percent approval rating at the beginning of July.

Then again, it doesn’t really matter what his approval rate is. He has 3 more years to destroy this country and the race is ON.

I may be wrong here (wouldn't be the first time) but something feels false about these Obama numbers still being so high.

I just can't put my finger on it.........

It could become significantly more difficult for him after midterm elections.

Obama’s going to be remembered as the Willie O’Ree of politics. A mediocre black man in their field that was simply remembered for being black. Willie O’Ree, for all of you non-puckheads that are out there, was the first black man that played pro hockey in the Modern Era of the NHL.

Let’s hope that Michael Steele is our Grant Fuhr. To you non-puckheads that are out there, he’s the Hall of Fame black goalie that led the Oilers to multiple Stanley Cups.

Saw a lady in the park a little while ago with an 0bama t-shirt and that infernal rising sun insignia. I thought, wow too bad. Many Americans are waking up to reality while some delusional ones continue to think ‘yes we can.’

As Diana said, his "approval index" (strong approval minus strong disapproval) DID get a bump up from last week.

Beck warned of the possibility of a group of thugs, claiming to be hard working Americans who are fed up with the president and become violent. The media will be given the ‘’heads up’’ and they will video some typical thug assaults in the name of ‘’justice for Americans’’. I just hope and pray that the organizers of any townhouse meeting has the smarts to watch for the thugs and not allow the violence to erupt. Reminds me of the scene in Grapes of Wrath when at a dance thugs were suppose to disrupt the festivities, giving the controlled coppers an excuse to come in and control the work camp. Wake up my fellow Americans and peacefully protest the socialization of our Country and should we see an incident erupting move in and squash it so the media will be left with their fingers up their derriere

>> realize what a big mistake they made last November.

The timing should be perfect for a ‘Rat rout in Nov. ‘10.

They’re running scared; the plan called for all the bad stuff to be crammed down the sheep’s throats by now, so they’d forget by next year. But their timeline is getting strung out.

No, he got a bump. Granted, he’s still in negative territory; I just wanna know HOW?

Another 500K lost their jobs this past month. That’s nearly 3 MILLION people to have lost their jobs since he took office! Three Million!

Nah, you’re betting on a sure thing and I value my donuts.

I look for Bambi’s baseline approval index to stay negative, with little spikes even higher here and there as he screws things up (like Gatesgate for example). Which he will. He has a track record now. He’s proven himself incompetent.

Quinnipiac is almost always more pro-leftist than the other polls so if he hits 50% in their polls, it means he’s even lower than that in the real world.

The MSM has been married to Obama for at least 2 years, if you count the campaign and almost 5 years, if you count Obama's 2004 Democratic Convention speech. Or they've been cultist for that long, where the honeymoon never ends.

The MSM is over. No one believes them. They're untrustworthy hacks at best and corrupt totalitarians at worst. Not a good spectrum to be in.

Good one - Snow job and Collins. I have heard people argue that the GOP needs them because without the moderates, RATS would own Maine. What is the point when they vote with RATS anyway?

While the drop is definitely good news, I fear that it will not be a smooth ride down.

There's an awful lot of people who have invested quite a bit with this presidency and they will fight hard.

It's possible that it will get really ugly.

1960's ugly.
