Someone on this website said that we talk too much about issues and never do anything. We just Yak, Yak, Yak.
Well, at first my feelings were hurt because, IMHO, my contributions mostly make sense, even to me. But he (I vaguely recall that it was a he person) was correct. We do not really DO MUCH. In fact, we YAK A LOT. So I am contributing something you can actually do. Write your elected officials a letter. I am providing you with all of the information you need, you just need to do it.

Very good letter. I would also like to see a bill that would address the matter of all the amendments that are attached to other bills. I want that stopped. All bills stand on their own or don’t get marked up.
If the MORONS in DC can’t read a BILL ... why WASTE MY TIME WRITING A LETTER... they CAN’T read that either!!!

The aides for my Congressman and Senators can complete my sentences for me now -
Yesterday I even called to tell them that there was a special segment on talk radio discussing their creep, and they should listen. They ‘thanked me’, haha!
I call the local and the national offices, just to mix it up. It helps that I am bored while driving to work.. :)
Yeh, I know. Two Mondays ago, I called every rep from my state, both DUmmie & Pubbie, and told their aides in Washington that if ANY of them sign the deathcare bill, they will surely be voted out in 2010.
Do you know what the DU response was...a new ad has come out for our state that, and I’m paraphrasing here: “that along with wonderful healthcare, our state will raise minimum wage from 7.40 to 10.00, and there will be an extra 100 dollars added in per week of unemployment benefits. There will also be an extension of unemployment benefits.
So, they’re bribing the masses with money (supposed money), so they won’t get voted out after passing the deathcare! And aside from this, how many people are going to be able to stay in business being forced to pay this wage?
