I've been trying to reach Eshoo about Health Care. Take a look at the long list of hard-hitting townhall meetings she has lined up in during the August recess to address constituents' concerns about the major issues of the day:

On Wednesday, August 26th, Rep. Anna G. Eshoo will host a Town Hall Meeting to discuss High Speed Rail. Experts from the High Speed Rail Authority and Caltrain will make presentations and answer questions.

In November, 2008, Californians passed Proposition 1A, the Safe, Reliable High-Speed Passenger Train Bond Act for the 21st Century. How this will impact local communities has been the subject of considerable debate. The meeting will be held at the Menlo Park City Council Chambers from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Another Dem in hiding during August recess. What a bunch of craven cowards.

She's going to address the very important issue of how a new rail line will affect our communities. I don't suppose the complete trashing of our health care machine will have any impact at all on our "communities."

Ours did the same here in Oregon.....a “hearing” on Small Business issues.....for 2 hours. He’s having 3, 1 hr meetings at the Beach....away from the maddening crowds.

Same for Jerry McNerney of California’s 11th district. I talked to an aide (sounded right out of high school) and he said he would not be having any town hall meetings. I asked why not, he said he was too busy. I said, too busy to hear from his constituents? He started getting all flustered. Then I asked if I could talk to him or his policy aide over the phone - he continued with the same mantra - they’re not here and they’re busy.

What weasels!!
