Libertarians to Democrats: Call off the thugs
White House orders Dems to punch back as union organizers attack citizens
WASHINGTON -- Americas third largest party Friday called on Democrats to end what appears to be a budding campaign of union violence targeted at citizens who differ with the White House at town hall meetings across the country. Libertarians oppose not only the White Houses plans for government-run medicine, but the use of violence to achieve political or social goals.
A Tampa Bay Tribune story and a video posted to the Drudge Report both report physical assaults on dissenting citizens by union organizers brought to meetings by Democrats. In Tampa, union organizers blocked citizens who differed with the White House from entering a public town hall with Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL,) and allegedly scuffled with some of them. A video posted to YouTube appears to show union organizers physically attacking citizens who disagreed with the White House.
The Libertarian Party is founded on one principle. We do not support the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals, said Donny Ferguson, Libertarian National Committee Communications Director. Democrats seem to think differently. When the Obama administration ordered Democrats to punch back twice as hard against citizens who question them, Democrats responded. This Chicago-trained White House has brought Chicago-style union violence to small towns across America.
The White House told Democrat leaders Thursday to punch back twice as hard when citizens express disapproval. That kind of irresponsible rhetoric is never proper when discussing popular dissent. The also made it clear they will bend Senate rules and force through government-run health care whether or not America supports it. That is a frightening departure from the traditional American practice of governing though popular will, said Ferguson.
If bringing in union thugs is an attempt by Democrats to scare citizens into not questioning them, it wont work. Union violence may be how communities are organized in Chicago, but the American people wont stand for people who think violence is the proper response to the fact they no longer have majority support.
Americans still believe in the consent of the governed. Libertarians urge Democrats to listen to the American people, call off their union enforcers and drop their wildly unpopular scheme of government-run medicine, said Ferguson.
The Libertarian Party is America's third-largest political party, founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. You can find more information on the Libertarian Party by visiting http://www.LP.org. The Libertarian Party proudly stands for smaller government, lower taxes and more freedom.

People should also ask about his eugenicists he has in the cabinet.
Obama’s civilian army is coming out. It’s a combination of ACORN and the Unions. Standby folks, the fun begins.
Current events have given Libertarians something to actually be relevant about. I foresee many pacifist liberals being bled off the Democrat party to them.
We counter-punch punch backs where I come from.
Inciting violence...Should be arrested every time there is an injury....Hold their feet to the fire!
Obama-ACORN axis of idiocy is making the spoof site
We need to use this against “Card Check” or pro-Union, anti Secret Ballot legislation.
a precursor of the thugs who will take over “security” of the polling places in 2010/2012 - my prediction
ax handles, anyone ?
Same in St Louis, the attackers were Obama supporters, the victim a Conservative
Well done Libertarians!
It is time to take the gloves off!!!!
No more backing down!!!!
Long Live The Republic.
Obama has incited this violence with his statement telling his allies they’d begin to “punch back twice as hard”.
His incitement to violence is shameful for any President. IMO, former Presidents should be commenting against this, as well as the WH call for snitches. That would be Bush41 and Bush43, because neither Carter nor Clinton would go against another Dimocrat.
These actions do irreversible damage to the office of the President.
“O” has a long bumpy few years ahead. His WH ‘victory’ sure looks a little hollow right about now. It was a sham in the first place and with the REAL America (read: working America) standing up to be counted “O” shouldnt expect the same fawning, unrestrained, wholesale and unconditional affirmation that he enjoyed during his presidential campaigning.
The administrations brutish and forceful effort to foist health care reform on to Americans (the ones who will be picking up the tab) is coming to greater national attention. And despite Os compliant MSM, the attention is certainly not reflecting well on the administration.
As opposed to those who complain and demand ever more while already glutted on government entitlements WORKING AMERICA is resisting Os offer of a lifetime pass on the highway to homelessness. Forced indigence was never either a Christian OR a Capitalist virtue.
