Libertarians to Democrats: Call off the thugs
White House orders Dems to ‘punch back’ as union organizers attack citizens

WASHINGTON -- America’s third largest party Friday called on Democrats to end what appears to be a budding campaign of union violence targeted at citizens who differ with the White House at town hall meetings across the country. Libertarians oppose not only the White House’s plans for government-run medicine, but the use of violence to achieve political or social goals.

A Tampa Bay Tribune story and a video posted to the Drudge Report both report physical assaults on dissenting citizens by union organizers brought to meetings by Democrats. In Tampa, union organizers blocked citizens who differed with the White House from entering a public town hall with Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL,) and allegedly scuffled with some of them. A video posted to YouTube appears to show union organizers physically attacking citizens who disagreed with the White House.

“The Libertarian Party is founded on one principle. We do not support the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals,” said Donny Ferguson, Libertarian National Committee Communications Director. “Democrats seem to think differently. When the Obama administration ordered Democrats to ‘punch back twice as hard’ against citizens who question them, Democrats responded. This Chicago-trained White House has brought Chicago-style union violence to small towns across America.”

“The White House told Democrat leaders Thursday to ‘punch back twice as hard’ when citizens express disapproval. That kind of irresponsible rhetoric is never proper when discussing popular dissent. The also made it clear they will bend Senate rules and force through government-run health care whether or not America supports it. That is a frightening departure from the traditional American practice of governing though popular will,” said Ferguson.

“If bringing in union thugs is an attempt by Democrats to scare citizens into not questioning them, it won’t work. Union violence may be how communities are organized in Chicago, but the American people won’t stand for people who think violence is the proper response to the fact they no longer have majority support.”

“Americans still believe in the consent of the governed. Libertarians urge Democrats to listen to the American people, call off their union enforcers and drop their wildly unpopular scheme of government-run medicine,” said Ferguson.

The Libertarian Party is America's third-largest political party, founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. You can find more information on the Libertarian Party by visiting http://www.LP.org. The Libertarian Party proudly stands for smaller government, lower taxes and more freedom.

” neither Carter nor Clinton would go against another Dimocrat.”

That’s because, perversely, they didn’t try to pull the stuff Zero is. Zero is acting like any other ‘puppet.’ He’s turning on the people who have been pulling the strings to get him where he is today. Furthermore, with his ego, he thinks he can beat the other Dimocrats at their own game, which is stupid, but we’re not really dealing with someone who knows how to even talk without his teleprompter, much less think abstractly and strategize.

Bill and Hillary understood that they are team players and worked like fiends to get into the White House.

GOOD FOR THEM!!

The GOP needs to do the same thing now!

This is an outrage and should be condemned by every party. It is beneath the dignity of the office of the President of the United States Of America.

““O” shouldn’t expect the same fawning, unrestrained, wholesale and unconditional affirmation that he enjoyed during his presidential campaigning.

The administration’s brutish and forceful effort to foist ‘health care reform’ on to Americans (the ones who will be picking up the tab) is coming to greater national attention. And despite ‘O’s’ compliant MSM, the attention”

The MSM no longer has the monopoly on information. That is how this past campaign was so much more difficult for the Democrats and why the MSM (like US Weekly) fought the way they did against Palin. The next campaign is going to be strictly grassroots and over the next couple of years the chances of the MSM dropping dead are high.

If Murdoch does charge for access to news websites, he’s going to crash and won’t be able to rebuild since people with the simplest HTML skills are going to be making their own websites/blogs, telling their stories, and people are going to be reading them.

“. Forced indigence was never either a Christian OR a Capitalist virtue.”

Too many people come from other countries with nothing and they never came here to be made poor again.

AS for the civilian security force, this will piss people off all the more. You can’t be a hammer and treat the people like nails; People may dummy up, but their votes will speak for them. The Black Panthers forget that a hard working Asian or Hispanic does not want to be ruled by them. There are others than just whites in this country.

Too true. I think this guy is blowing the first best chance minorities have had to step onto the national stage in this country. AND he is doing it over the most emotional, visible and least forgiving issue he could have chosen. He probably thought he could carry this off easily and THEN proceed to dismantle the military. Was he ever wrong!

Actually no one in this country is satisfied with the way health care is delivered… BUT to force a punitive system onto ALL Americans just because you want to capitalize on a temporary (and it IS temporary) political edge is infantile and reckless… and THIS guy leads the most powerful national entity in the known universe!! You expected differently?

I think Hispanics and Asians have a bright future in politics and life as part of society, it’s just blacks that will be burned the worst. It’s only right though because blacks have had chance after chance after chance to do right by themselves and by society.

All African Americans who complain about this are the ones who were privileged enough to be born in this country and have had lavish benefits solely through skin color. Meanwhile some Vietnamese come here, on a boat or worse, and make the best possible future for themselves solely through hard work and obeying the law.

These militant freaks don’t get it that an Asian father does not like the thought of his daughters being raped on whim by black thugs and his sons being carried off to camps for not licking the boots of these filth. That’s why they left their countries in the first place. I see them as fighting the hardest against Zero and as for the Hispanics, they came here to escape what Zero is trying to implement.

If whites are going to be doormats, (which I knwo isn’t true, we simply haven’t reached our breaking point as of yet) then I think Asians and Hispanics (not to mention others as well) are going to be the ones who are the backbone of the future of this country.

When my grandparents came here in the 20’s the situation was not good for them either. They had absolutely nothing, didn’t speak English, LOOKED European and of course, Americans being the rabid xenophobes they were... our folks stayed pretty much to themselves and just worked like hell. They didn’t go whining to the government or anyone else, but busted their chops to get ahead AND struggled to assimilate.

There was NO social legislation to give anyone a leg up. You just took your lumps and did your best. Also, they stayed honest; because they believed you could be honest and get ahead… a foreign concept these days.

Like all minorities who come here and LOOK different, assimilation is difficult but possible. It can be done in a couple generations and pretty much WITHOUT government subsidies…it doesn’t take 200 years.

I don't think he expects it so much as he is going to demand it!

His attitude toward opinions that differ from his is especially telling. Telling supporters to hit back twice as hard is, in a way, an approval of violence against parties and ideas at odds with his own.

There is REAL trouble and violence on the horizon. I fear for this country!

He might also consider the words of Thomas Jefferson:

Well, we deserve it for being so afriad of standing up to the belligerant minorities sooner. This has had to happen and I’m ready for it.

Yep...I guess it had to happen.

Here it comes. Those not ready had better get ready.

That said, I am surprised that it only took 200 days into his administration until Obama decided to reveal his fangs. I thought he would play nice for a little longer.

Check out this poster (powerfully relevant this week)...

I was arrested at that Department Of Justice building once, or at least taken into custody for a week or so and held in primitive conditions while being interviewed by the FBI and denied basic rights. Days of that confinement were spent hungry and cold inside the Washington Coliseum with the bulk of security supplied by uniformed soldiers with bayonets.

I don't know what country you are living in but most of the people I know are totally satisfied with the way health care is delivered. Yep, we could get the price down but the way care is delivered is just fine. The way to get the cost down is easy: Get the government out of the health business, make it illegal to treat illegals except for life and death situations and then deport them back to their own country. Those two things alone would lower costs considerably.

Not wise to try that in too many places in Missouri..we are a conceal and carry state after all.

It’s time for all who truly love this country and believe that it stands for something noble and admirable to come together to defeat the leftists, authoritarians, and thugs—peacefully, if at all possible.

Never start a fight. Always finish one, though.

Be careful, be vigilant, and be safe out there, everyone.
