DETROIT (CNNMoney.com) -- On a side street in an old industrial neighborhood, a delivery man stacks a dolly of goods outside a store. Ten feet away stands another man clad in military fatigues, combat boots and what appears to be a flak jacket. He looks straight out of Baghdad. But this isn't Iraq. It's southeast Detroit, and he's there to guard the groceries.
"No pictures, put the camera down," he yells. My companion and I, on a tour of how people in this city are using urban farms to grow their own food, speed off.

There have been plenty of people struggling in Detroit for a long time. What makes this recession different is the type of people coming in. It's no longer just the homeless, or the really poor.
Now it's middle class folks who lost their $60,000-a-year auto job, or home owners who got caught on the wrong side of the real estate bubble.

And, so long as he is pointing his dirty finger at us, who he calls "ones who created this mess", look at who has been running Detroit. While the President is inciting his union thugs to violence against average voters all over America, look at what the unions and their DemocRAT leaders have done to the auto industry.

Reverend/Minster gets up and and ask if anyone needs help. Women sobs and tells how they are behind in the Mortgage (out of work etc), they pass the basket, enough money is thrown in by everyone to help them out.
This is the way not Obama-care-fare-share-etc.

1 - Stop government policies that encourage single minority females to have babies by multiple random sperm donors.
2 - Stop importing no skilled, dirt poor, uneducated people with tribal mentalities from third world countries to add to the ranks of the poverty stricken.

Maybe I’ve just gotten hard living here in Detroit, but I don’t listen to women sobbing anymore.
The ones who sob the loudest are those that bought the 500,000 dollar houses on a postage stamp of land, no money down, with granite counters and two new cars. Today they are crying, yesterday they were at Lakeside Mall buying Coach bags using Credit Cards that they know they can no longer pay on. While I scooped up what I could at Salvation Army for my kids, those women looked down on me, talked about ski club, the trip to Disney World and ticked at us.
The Lord helps those who help themselves. Let them buy Angelfood and learn to cook. We do.
