Conservative radio talk-show host John Batchelor says the whack jobs disrupting health-care town halls confirm the Republican Party has become a cruise ship to the seventh grade.
The sad-eyed Townhall Turfers now follow the saucer-eyed Birthers and the cranky Tea-Baggers as the latest political fad that the weakling Republicans not only cannot get away from but also cannot get enough of, like chocolate sauce on anything. The phenomenon of surly, verbose, sweaty voters crowding into overlit public rooms to hear out the numbing conclusions of a member of Congress on health-care reforms in all the 57 varieties has taken over talk radio and talk TV and swept through blogs like swine flus mutation. The suspicion of many gifted sleuths, working in favor of the Obama administration, that these are not grass roots citizens but rather hirelings and toadies, the astro-turf-eaters of Homo Pachydermata, stampeding to the whip hand of secret Blofelds of the GOP, has suddenly become a White House approved narrative endorsed by the colorful Robert Gibbs, who judged, The Astro Turf nature of grassroots lobbying are manufactured anger.
Would this were the whole story. Would that the Republicans were capable of such a vast right-wing conspiracy to rally and deploy growling scene-stealers with signage that is indifferent to paradox, Stop Obama, Stop Socialism, Stop Fascism. Those who have discovered these shadowy links of the nonsensically named Conservatives for Patient Rights to the infamous Swift Boaters latest awkward fantasy, Tea Party Patriots Health Care Reform Committee, serve less to enliven their suspicions than they do to prop up the spirits of the deracinated Republicans.(continued)

No, Batchelor’s show is not a conservative talk show. He said once that he is a bad Republican, and he is.
I find his show to be very boring, but maybe others like it which is why he is there.
Have no idea who he is. He’s cranky though.
Batchelor's shtick is contrariness, he has always been unproductive, and he is a bore.
My response to JB is if the townhall protestors are bad for the GOP, why did Obama need to dispatch ACORN and SEIU to crowd out the protestors????? If the GOP will look bad from these townhall outbursts, the White House do not need union goons, they need a small discrete camera crew to film it and use the clips for ads and encourage more of these outbursts on film.
Encourage KFI to carry a different radio host.
Out here in Connecticut, we are in the midst of a
The GOP is laying low.....these battles are led by Libertarians!
...Regale, in the hilarity of the new word speak, for it dumbs down and is confutative...
If you every wanted to see a living example of a “Pale Pastel” republican John Bachelor is it. I listen to him to keep an “ear” on his kind.
John, I’d kindly recommend you go find the basic definition of fascism and get back to us. We have a fascist government trying to ram fascist policies down our throat and you just expect us to quietly take it. I think not.
I listen to Batchelor’s show on WABC’s website and it is actually pretty good in terms of the quality of his guests. He frequently has on authoritative guest that can discuss topics ranging from geopolitics to the economy in an informative fashion. That said, my impression of Batchelor is that he is a big RINO. In NYC he is what passes for a conservative. He doesn’t understand the country between NYC and LA.
Batchelor is all over the place. I have listened to his show from time to time over the years and often found it boring and difficult to listen to. (For one thing, I don’t like his voice and speech.) I think he fancies himself a libertarian, but he’s just a kook. This story is a yawner, trust me. Nobody cares what Batchelor thinks.
As of now the Dems are looking bad:
He does have some good guests from time to time, but I find most of the show to be boring which is why I listen to other shows when he is on.
I wonder how many townhall health care meetings Bachelor has attended? He writes like someone whose expertise comes from The Today show and The New York Times. That’s why it’s so easy for him to stereotype and label mainstream Americans. John: Don’t let the door hit you in the ass you whiny little puke.
But I thought these protestors were all "well dressed" corporate types? Didn't Pelosi say that?
The Daily Beast seems like the new place for so-called conservatives to show up and bash real conservatives. It’s the MSNBC of the internet.
