Culture Challenge of the Week: Immoral Sex Indoctrination

Much of what is being taught to our young girls and boys in sex-education classes is too graphic and vulgar to be quoted in the newspaper.

For that, you can blame Planned Parenthood, Advocates for Youth, and the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). The content of sex-education programs is dominated by these groups, which instruct our children on how to perform sexual acts, including homosexuality and sadomasochism. Their materials promote a radical political agenda, are highly pornographic, encourage our children to be sexually active and are largely devoid of biological and medical information.

To fully grasp the problem, read Dr. Miriam Grossman's new book, "You're Teaching My Child What?" It is a shocking and maddening expose of how our children are being brainwashed by perverted and immoral sex propagandists.

Do I sound like an alarmist? Read the book, scan through your own child's sex-ed materials, and then let's talk. You'll probably become an "alarmist," too.

Here are just two of the hundreds of carefully documented facts from Dr. Grossman's book: When exposing Planned Parenthood's timetable of when kids should be taught what, she writes, "They instruct parents to tell 5-year-olds about intercourse, though explaining orgasm can wait until he's finished kindergarten." And for sadomasochism? Educators often send teen girls to a Web site that says, "Though it may seem painful, those involved find the pleasure outweighs the pain."

I didn’t opt Jax out of FLE, although I knew I could.

The teacher for it here is the head nurse, a member of our church, and a friend of mine :)

She and I have had numerous conversations and she has helped me out with some of the “things” I’ve had to talk to Jax about.

It depends on the parents and the district.

It doesn’t happen in our district either but it’s not for lack of trying.

Some new progressive teacher did try it once.

And that was the end of that.

So, technically, I have to say that this kind of sex ed isn’t happening in our district, but again, it isn’t for lack of trying. It would be if the parents hadn’t spoken up and the administration didn’t listen to them.

Well, I hope someone takes the time to educate this young person about the realities of adoption, among a myriad of other realities.

Seriously, an aversion to procreation as a result of too early exposure to the physical aspects of childbirth is a definite risk.

IIRC, this was mentioned in Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates (but my reading of that was a long time ago, as well as one HRRKeating mystery set in India.

I rather doubt childbirth is much of a topic in "sex education." The dangers of exposure to that are much worse and likely can't be easily remedied.

The article doesn't imply that it's everywhere, just that it's out there and parents need to check it out for themselves.

I live in NoVA and that’s why my kids have never spent a day in public schools, but rather have attended catholic school from preschool on. Not every school district is going to be politicized, but the author of this piece lives in this area and is writing in the Washington Times, so it makes perfect sense, given the ridiculous stuff that has been tried here. Far too many parents remain oblivious to what is going on in their kids schools and that’s why she is writing, to raise consciousness of the problems.

I live on the Eastern Shore, not southern VA, but we are far different here from NoVA, although there is much influence from there.

Yes, it is biased crap in the sense that the haters of public schools at FR will claim this is the norm at ALL public schools.

I don’t think I actually learned about the facts of life until I was 10 or 12.

I'll be 49 next month and am still waiting for my mother to tell me the facts of life --- and she's been dead 3 years.

My daughter turned 11 last month and is far more knowledgeable about the facts of life than I ever was. Of course we live in farm country.........

BTW, congrats on going to law school. Even though my yung'un is doing the evil public school thing, she'll be following you soon enough.

You very accurately define the real problem here with your no, “homeschooling” is not the answer response. The reason is that while homeschooled kids get a moral education as part of their schooling, the vast majority of kids are fed absolute garbage and are brainwashed with the brilliance of "progressivism," not only with sex-ed, but with the whole-person progressive concepts led by John Dewey:

In the interest of full disclosure, my brother’s program, while administered by the school district, is at a private school.

However, I don’t think it’s valid to say that I don’t have a valid opinion since I haven’t experienced the school system directly. That’s an argument that some people like to bring out to shut down opposition to whatever they are saying - “You weren’t in the military? You can’t comment.” or “You haven’t had an abortion? Don’t talk about them.” It is valid for me to say “the school district I grew up in was a ‘good’ district and yet had X, Y, and Z problems” because both those facts were well known in my community. I personally worked with the father of a student suspended from the school because a pipe bomb was found in his locker. I went to Sunday School with students who literally could not read and yet had high enough GPAs to keep them on their sports teams.

I also realize that Jen is not one of the ones that constantly trashing those of us involved in the public school systems, although she is supportive of those that do.
