Feds consider conspiracy in Tiller death
Published: Aug. 10, 2009 at 1:28 PM
WICHITA, Kan., Aug. 10 (UPI) -- A federal investigation is underway to determine if more than one person was involved in abortion doctor George Tiller's death, Kansas authorities said.
Scott Roeder, 51, of Kansas City, Kan., is charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Tiller May 31 at the church where Tiller served as an usher.
Roeder pleaded innocent and is being held in a Wichita jail on $20 million bail with trial scheduled for Sept. 21.
Federal agents, who declined to comment on an investigation, have spoken with many who have visited Roeder since the shooting, including two convicted abortion clinic bombers and several people who signed a declaration defending the killing of abortion providers, the Kansas City (Mo.) Star reported Monday.
"This guy has been in the hard-core anti-abortion circle for a long time, and there has been a pattern of communication and encouragement among these people," Eleanor Smeal, president of the Feminist Majority Foundation, said.
Supporters of Roeder deny a conspiracy, including Jennifer McCoy, a Wichita resident who visits Roeder, the Star reported. McCoy was convicted in the 1990s of trying to burn abortion clinics in Virginia.
Right or wrong .. agree or disagree ...
here's a passionate guy that waited no longer.
In view of the health care activity of the day ... this is atomic.
There should be a posthumous trial charging him with the 60,000 murders he's said to have boasted of having committed.
He also had an industrial garbage disposer.
However, he still, sometimes, tossed the babies into the dumpster.
I know this because I watched a prolife protester jump the fence, dive into the dumpster, and pull out a bag with a well developed dead baby in it!
I am very sorry you had to witness that
Clearly The Almighty will have to be subpeonead, given that His overt declarations on the sanctity of life might have somehow been an influence on the “anti-abortion circle.”
When they are done with this investigation they should investigate who killed JFK.
