North Korea's Kim Jong Il awarded his son, Kim Jong Un, a special commendation for his direct handling of the 2 captured Americans and Pres. Clinton recently.
Internal speech was made by the Domestic Security Bureau, which said "Comrade Kim Jong En in his brilliance is to be awarded for excellent work. He dealt skillfully with the (2 US journalist) spy incident, and even was able to force a former US President to come all the way over the Pacific Ocean to apologize to us."

Only a matter of time.
And, they will start seizing MORE Americans, just you watch. Under some kind of pretext. Probably tourists foolish enough to go up there for the Arirang Games. They will plant something on them, detain them and take away their passports, forbid them leave Pyongyang, and ask for another US President and a bag of concessions. Guess which US President will give in to the demands of such a rogue nation?? (You get one guess and the first three dont count).

The weakness (appeasement?) of this administration in dealing with tyrannical individuals like Kim Jong-Il makes this world a far more dangerous place. Emboldening thugs, tyrants, and madmen. The obama doctrine.

The most humiliating thing I have seen in years in US foreign policy. Dr. Kissinger weighed in with as much to say the other day. Represhensible. NOW the chickens are coming home to roost. Wonder what CurrentTV, Al Gore, Euna Lee and Laura Ling (the final two right before their multimillion book deal) have to say about that. I also hear they are uppin the executions of Christians on the Chinese-NK border these days, as a result of their recent PR victory and new found boldness. Gee, thanks Current TV and Al Gore. Assholes.

Breaking news - An American was just sentenced to eight years of hard labor in Myanmar. Who will they demand come to apologize for America to fetch him home?
And Aung San Suu Kui was sentenced to more 18 months of house arrest.

They are doing this PRECISELY because of the Obama policy to let Clinton go and deal with/apologize to a rogue state.
NOW THE FLOODGATES will open overseas for Americans to be kidnapped or detained as ransom. It is extremely dangerous and extremely troubling. The President needs to be called to direct responsibilty for this situation. The enemies of America are ALL emboldened now. They will deal harshly with the three Americans in Iran, too. They intend to bring America to its knees through capitulation, through this Obama will do exactly that.

There is some movement on the issue of S. Korean locked up in N. Korea several months ago. Rumors are that NK may free him when Hyundai Asan Chairwoman travels to Pyongyang and meet Kim Jong-il. This is probably the same set-up. Media here wonder about what would be the price tag.
Kim Jong-il must think that he can do a lot of favor by giving a chance of grandstanding to those who have been friendly to him: Bill Clinton and Hyundai Asan Chairwoman, in addition to getting international spotlight on himself, showing he is alive and kicking. I still wonder if Slick feels the same way as I said previously. What did Chia Head say to Slick face-to-face? It is possible that Chia said something upsetting to Slick, for example, "You should thank me for granting this occasion for you to shine." or "You and I have so much in common..."
On another note, I still wonder how alive and well he is. They reportedly juice him up for the public occasion many days prior to the event.

Laura and Euna would get multi-million dollar TV interviews, book deals, and possibly movie deals. This whole thing degenerate fast into tawdry media circus. The story of book and TV deals are already raising eye brows in S. Korea. It sounds so unseemly, given the huge price tag attached to it.

I don’t know if this was a great North Korean achievement. Both Obama and Clinton have apologized for the US for nothing in return at all!

Thanks for the ping AiT!
If our Republic somehow revives itself and survives until (hopefully) an honest general election takes place in November 2012 [c'mon, stop laughing folks], I'd love to think that a President Jim DeMint would instruct Secretary of Defense Duncan Hunter to prepare to go get the U.S.S. Pueblo and bring her back to U.S. waters and spare no expense and more importantly spare no North Korean lives in doing so.
Then nuke the little bastards.
BTW, AiT? I'm assuming that you're ok after that earthquake gave Tokyo a few shakes? I was thinking of you!

Anyone who didn’t realize at the time that this was a power play was either blind or completely unaware of oriental cultural norms. The President they pushed around for years came calling when they rang and played the lap dog. Obama let it happen for exactly that reason - it diminished Clinton.

Well, since Obama and Kim are ideologically oriented along the same lines and the Kenyan Clown is the most impuissant president since Carter, I would say that Kim didn't exactly have to sweat to earn this commendation.
