White House 'Reality Check Web Site Claims Health Care Reform Would Not Add One Penny to Deficit Despite CBO Reports to Contrary
CNSNews.com) A new Web site launched Monday by the Obama administration to rebut alleged disinformation about the administration's efforts to reform the health care system claims that reform would not add one penny to the deficit"--despite the fact that the two health care reform bills that have been analyzed by the Congressional Budget Office are predicted by the CBO to increase the national debt by $239 billion and $1.042 trillion respectively.
The administration, meanwhile, has not produced any health-care reform legislation that has been independently determined to be deficit-neutral.
Appearing on CNN yesterday, Linda Douglass, communications director for the White House Office of Health Reform, said that the new Web site that premiered today has been designed to defeat disinformation and make sure people "can get the facts" about health care reform.

The 0bama web site link failed...
The URL should be:
The lie is already gone? on the web site and now the page is full of bull crap, lying videos.
It won't add one penny to the deficit. It will add trillions of dollars to the deficit.
Just like no Person making less than 250K will see a dime of increase in their taxes.
Can the administration be sued for bald -faced lying and disinformation? If I buy a new laptop on credit,it creates a deficit, I have spent money that is no longer available to spend on something else, but if I buy a week in intensive care ,the cost will go away like magic?
I am so very sick of Obama, Rahm, Axelrod, Pelosi, Reid and company. Sorry to say it but I consider them nothing but and his lying sack of crap!
Srtangely I don’t see this comment on his propaganda page anymore. He had to take it down QUICK I guess.
“Reality Check” in Obamese means “spun fantasy you can believe in (if you want to)”.
Finally, the Emperor is buck nekkid. Spread the word. See below.
would not add one penny to the deficit”
Who IS going to pay and how much? If they don’t have the money you get no medical treatment. That is what Obamacare is telling you.
Remember, nothing in this world is free. It cost someone, someplace, something!
LOL yeah the page was a bad link because someone at the WH was up all night putting up all the propaganda videos.
King big eared liar is suppose to have a town hall meeting today and he won’t anser one questions but he will blame Bush and babble. No one will dare ask him if has has read the health care bill.
Srtangely I dont see this comment on his propaganda page anymore. He had to take it down QUICK I guess.
It is still there. See
Q: This legislation is going to cost more than a trillion dollars: how can we afford that?
A: The majority of the initiatives that would pay for reform will come from cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork.
Health insurance reform would be fully paid for over 10 years, and it would not add one penny to the deficit.
Simply breath taking. The cold-blooded bastards are betting the farm on their bedrock core belief we’ll all blindly pursue that âfree lunch,â being dangled before us; that we’ll continue believing in the Tooth Fairy and his deficit neutral health care plan.
Hidden away in this list of conditions is NO NEW ENROLLMENT is allowed by private insurers after DAY 1 of this HC act!!!
(quote from lines 12-16)
individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day of Y1.
Obama claims he isnt trying to shut down the private insurance companies? LIAR!
And to make it more difficult for the private insurance companies to maintain grand fathered individual insurance policies, Obama has imposed additional hurtles:
(lines 21-26) LIMITATION ON CHANGES IN TERMS OR CONDITIONS. Subject to paragraph (3) and except as required by law, the issuer does not change any of its terms or conditions, including benefits and cost sharing from those (which were) in effect from the day before the first day of Y1.
No improvements, better deals etc. allowed. No competing with the government allowed, even though the government is competing with OUR money, OUR national debt THEY create. Government can simply knowingly operate in a deficit, and make us all pay the shortfall later.
(Page 17) The same applies to employment group plans, provided BOTH types of plans meet the requirements for basic coverage spelled out in section 121, which I havent come across yet.
This format of hide and seek plagues this entire HC act bill, which makes it more difficult to read and understand than the unholy Koran. Its no wonder most senators cant read it, its beyond their capabilities.
The White House press office responded by e-mailing links: one to President Obamas federal budget for fiscal year 2010 and another to a Medicare Fact Sheet.
Funny how it is all missing from WH liarmarxistcheck.com
thanks, I did not see that.
0bozo -— pathological lying SOB POS. He is the anti-Christ, devil incarnate, the Father of Lies.
This is easy to accomplish if “REFORM” means denying health care to the group of citizens who most require it an an ongoing basis. In a nutshell this is what has so many seniors up in arms. They realize they will be the ones from whom these “savings” are extracted and it will be both in the form of rationed or denied care AND tax increases.
Another reason to call Barry "Zero". He's given us a whole new appreciation for the power of zeros.
You VASTLY underestimate the self interest of politicians. Not a one will vote for ANYTHING if it jeopordizes their chance for re election.
This means cutting mediaid and medicare coverage, the two government run health care entities that were hopelessly bankrupted and mismanaged by GOVERNMENT in the first place!
They are going to "replace" these simply by calling it something else. How in the world does that "fix" anything?
As I spelled out from the HCA above, all Obama is going to do is eliminate private insurance and force EVERYONE onto this one big huge government run medicaid program, which we will PAY dearly for, so that those welfare bums don't have to.
Ha ha ha. No, it won’t add a ‘single penny’ to the deficit—it will add 104 trillion pennies to the deficit! Ha ha ha.
There is no lie too spectacular for these people.
Sadly you’re correct. They have the votes.
In other words, it'll be put on OUR tab - Tax increases like we've never seen before.
A massive tax increase would but us all on welfare (isn't that their long term plan?)
Ah the ever popular savings by ‘cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within government...’. Where have we heard that before? And when have we ever seen the savings?
For what? They may very well pass a resolution to "keep on keeping on" about this and declare victory, quietly folding their tents and slinking off into the night.
Keep in mind with enough outrage, and I believe the outrage is both real and HUGE, anything they pass CAN be overturned when the majorities change as they certainly will at some point.
I don't profess to be a prescient being but know this, the very definition of a politician is to be self serving and work 24/7 to get re elected. What's Reid going to promise or threaten them with if their own polls and constituency responses are if they vote for a certain bill they will be tossed out?
You also said "you don't know how the Senate works"
Really? Ok, so tell me, how does it work?
ANYTIME you hear anyone complain about the health care package, remind them that this is 100% democrat, and remind them there's an election coming up in 2010 that might be able to reverse this before it's too late.
(Republicans aren't much better, but the democrats are the pushers of this one.)
I’ve seen it posted, but just now is the first time I actually watched. Amazing. Thank you.
That rude AARP rep leaves them and then when she sees they will continue the meeting she rudely and viciously mean-take the microphone.
I am done with AARP.
"The end justifies the means." - Alinski
"The first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom Lucifer."
Alinsky advises his followers that the poor have no power and that the real target is the middle class: "Organization for action will now and in the decade ahead center upon America's white middle class. That is where the power is. ... Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and the way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt. They are right; but we must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority."
They have already announced they will push through the vote no matter what.
The pubs have answers. (See Paul Ryan and Burrs official web sites) but the dems want NOTHING but their way or the highway.
WELL.. THEY’RE ASSES WILL BE VOTED TO THE HIGHWAY!
The socialist create organizations designed to "help." They get people, over time, dependent on that "assistance."
They then use that organization to over load what ever system they want to control, i.e., elderly health care. Once the system is so over burdened it's starting to crash, the left comes in as the savior to "fix it." They rebuild it in their own image - socialist.
They did it to our family unit, our schools, housing, banks, they're still working on welfare auto, and now they're after the big prize - our flesh and blood.
Remember, we didn't have a heath care problem until Hillary decided she wanted to take it over. The trial lawyers were sent out to drive up the cost so high, the democrats have no choice but to "fix it" in their own image. Has anyone heard one politician, either democrat or Republican, suggesting tort reform? ANY politician at all?
To the tune of “do re mi”:
a bald faced lie...
you tell another one!
