INTER-AMERICAN CONVENTION AGAINST THE ILLICIT MANUFACTURING OF AND TRAFFICKING IN FIREARMS, AMMUNITION, EXPLOSIVES, AND OTHER RELATED MATERIALS

THE STATES PARTIES,

AWARE of the urgent need to prevent, combat, and eradicate the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials, due to the harmful effects of these activities on the security of each state and the region as a whole, endangering the well-being of peoples, their social and economic development, and their right to live in peace;

CONCERNED by the increase, at the international level, in the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials and by the serious problems resulting therefrom;

REAFFIRMING that States Parties give priority to preventing, combating, and eradicating the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials because of the links of such activities with drug trafficking, terrorism, transnational organized crime, and mercenary and other criminal activities;

CONCERNED about the illicit manufacture of explosives from substances and articles that in and of themselves are not explosives--and that are not addressed by this Convention due to their other lawful uses--for activities related to drug trafficking, terrorism, transnational organized crime and mercenary and other criminal activities;

CONSIDERING the urgent need for all states, and especially those states that produce, export, and import arms, to take the necessary measures to prevent, combat, and eradicate the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials;

CONVINCED that combating the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials calls for international cooperation, exchange of information, and other appropriate measures at the national, regional, and international levels, and desiring to set a precedent for the international community in this regard;

Here is is folks, the OAS treaty to restrict, or more likely ban, the manufacture and distribution of firearms and ammunition in the Western Hemisphere. The treaty was proposed in the mid-1990s but has not YET been signed by the US. However, on his visit to Mexico during the first 100 days of his administration Obama bemoaned the fact that the US had not signed the treaty, implying that he would work to remedy what he considers that serious mistake.

As explained HERE the treaty can easily be interpreted to put a ban on reloading ammunition, or so much as simply possessing the material and equipment necessary to assemble ammunition, or even to re-assemble a repaired or reworked firearm. I suspect that Obama and his cohorts in Congress are waiting for an opportune occasion to sign the treaty when the media and politicians have stirred up a major controversy that is taking up most of the "news" coverage without allowing time for NRA, GOA, etc, to raise the alarm among American gun owners. If this outrageous treaty is signed and ratified by the current ultra-liberal Democrat Congress it will wipe out every remaining vestige of our 2nd Amendment rights for all practical purposes.

Pretty tough to create a New World Order while the peasants are still armed. Think about it...

“If these provisions (and others) become the law of the land, the Obama administration could have a heyday in enforcing them. Consider some of the other provisions in the treaty:

* Banning reloading. In Article IV of the treaty, countries commit to adopting “necessary legislative or other measures” to criminalize illicit manufacturing and trafficking in firearms.

Remember that “illicit manufacturing” includes reloading and modifying or assembling a firearm in any way. This would mean that the Obama administration could promulgate regulations banning reloading on the basis of this treaty — just as it is currently circumventing Congress to write legislation taxing greenhouse gases.”

I do, most of the time.

The New World Order is as certain as sunrise tomorrow, the only questions are when it will arrive and who will be it's demon-empowered ruler. It's predicted in the Book of Revelation which is the last book of the Holy Bible, and that old divinely inspired book has never been wrong yet after pre-writing 4000 years of history that involves Israel and it's relationships with the gentile nations.

When the NWO dictator, aka AntiChrist, bursts on the global scene the people of the world will hail him as the infallible answer to every international problem and willingly submit to his dictatorial rule. BIG mistake.

But until that happens, and it may not happen for decades yet to come, we have to do everything and anything necessary to preserve our God-given right to arms for defense of family, self, and the nation itself as a last resort against it's destruction. IMHO Obama is by far the most dangerous, diabolical, dedicated enemy of that inherent right that the American people have ever faced.

I wish they would go ahead and cross this line before I am to darned old to participate! The biggest problem with these new restrictions is that otherwise free thinking people feel that they have to obey them. The first thing we need to stand up against is the IRS tyranny and let the rebellion grow from there. If we cannot muster the courage to withhold the withholding, how are we going to fight a revolution?

Good question. The first wave to hit the beach always takes the heaviest casualties, so who's gonna go down the ramp first?

The Genie is out of the bottle. He escaped in the 1300s. All these laws are is an attempt to put the genie back in the bottle. He will never go back!

The basic firearm is a metal pipe, closed at one end with a touch hole. Basic gunpowder is bug repellent, barb-que fuel and meat preservative behind a metal ball.

The technology is so low that even the ancient Romans could have made them if they had known the secret of gunpowder.

Some folks apparently already have:

"Life is not worth much if you're not free--and worth nothing at all if you're dead. Freedom can be stolen from you at any time. Be prepared. Find out how every citizen can maximize his own freedom while minimizing the risks by being a secret freedom fighter. A totalitarian state is what we might get after the collapse of society, economic disaster or natural cataclysm. And then we'll have to fight for our freedom as well as for survival. If you want to be a secret freedom fighter, you won't join any protest groups, stand on street corners making speeches, or run with a mob that throws rocks at cops. The secret freedom fighter must fight alone. The secret freedom fighter has to be the invisible man, always working in secret. Because he is one man working alone, he doesn't have to do as much damage in a single operation as a guerrilla force would to justify the risk. And he doesn't have to worry that someone will betray him and turn him in to the authorities. With years of experience in governmental, religious and freelance assignments around the world, the author has learned how unfree governments work and where they are most vulnerable to attack by an individual acting on his own. He tells which targets are fair game--and which aren't--choosing weapons and methods, lethal and non lethal tactics, working within your own limitations to wreak havoc on morale and government operations, and much more."

Secret Freedom Fighter: Fighting Tyranny without Terrorizing the Innocent by Jefferson Mack Copyright 1986 by Jefferson Mack ISBN 0-87364-392-5 Printed in the United States of America

This should be a required read for all of the armchair patriots out there.

It shall be unlawful to manufacture elastic bands or tubing that can be used propel projectiles.

It shall be unlawful to sting lines on a flexible staff to be used to propel pointed sticks.

It shall be unlawful to manufacture pointed sticks.

And so on.

Most of these idiots don’t realize that a trip to your local Lowe’s hardware store, a trip to your local farm supply store, and a trip to your local auto parts store will net you all you need to have in order to build a highly effective machine gun, handgun, explosive device, or other lethal devices.

The technology is there and it’s not going away folks. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to build a working gun... bans won’t work. Arm the populace and you have a deterent to illegal trafficking. Otherwise, yer p*****g in the wind.

Only the Senate ratifies treaties, and the current ultra-liberal Democrat Congress isn't ultra-liberal, just its leaders. Otherwise, how did the Coburn Amendment for concealed carry in national parks get passed?

Is this thing aka CIFTA? If it is, I think it's dead in the water as far as getting our government to ratify no matter WHAT OHHHHH BABY! says. Too many Blue Dogs are already howling and that A$$HAT Reid is looking at a potentially deadly re-election battle soon, so he's trying to kill it. I'm not worried about the 2nd Amendment too much until OHHHHH BABY becomes a lame duck. IF.
