The NYPD is preparing for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan by keeping the lines of communication open with the Muslim community, including some of its own officers. WNYC's Bob Hennelly has more.
REPORTER: This year, as in years past, the NYPD is offering the City's Muslim congregations additional support and protection during their month-long period of fasting and prayer.

What happens if the NYPD officers enter a Mosque shoeless, and the must exit swiftly or pursue a suspect? Will they be trained to lace up those tactical boots in seconds?

Hmmm, wonder if the NYPD Muslime Officers Association has a commemoration each 9/11 for the brothers who died piloting those aircraft into the building?
There is a bigger picture in which all of the puzzle pieces are not showing themselves at this time. But anyone can bet Obama is tied into everything we see taking place.
Back in calmer days, there was no community outreach. Now that we have community outreach, things are not so calm. There’s a correlation in there somewhere.

ADDITIONAL protection?
As in SPECIAL protection ie more protection then say other groups?
I thought that was against OUR laws?
Can you imagine a group of Christians asking for special protection during Christmas or Easter?
This Country has lost as common sense and really no longer has a spine....
