Another disgrace: In Nigeria, Hillary hints that 2000 U.S. election was rigged

As Allahpundit would say, she’s a special lady:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton compared Nigeria’s corruption and electoral problems with the 2000 Florida presidential election recount during a town hall meeting today in Abuja, Nigeria.

Answering a question about Nigeria’s recent election, Clinton said, “In 2000, our presidential election came down to one state where the brother of the man running for President was the governor of the state. So we have our problems too.”

That is a tasty combo of the Obama administration’s “America sucks” foreign policy, coated in some rich, gooey Bush Deragement Syndrome. Sure, the “media recounts” of the 2000 election showed that the recounts requested by Al Gore or ordered by the Florida Supreme Court would have still resulted in a victory for George W. Bush. Why would that stop our country’s chief diplomat from suggesting that her predecessors in government were there illegitimately? Certainly not Pres. Obama’s faux insistence that we let go of the politics of the past.

The sad thing is that this story will be heard by few Americans, and will register with even fewer. The silver lining? If the US Secretary of State can bestride the globe this drenched in BDS — almost nine years after the fact — without notice, what are the odds that a few anti-ObamaCare protesters are going to scare anyone today? (hint: Long odds.)

Update (AP): Here’s the clip. Between this and her “I’m the secretary of state” freakout the other day, she’s having a hell of a trip.

Let’s say Hillary gets TOTUS to dictate this phrase for Obama: “I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President.”

It has been done before. Hillary, being a child of the sixties, surely believes that RFK would have defeated Nixon in ‘68. I bet she thinks about it every day!

Actually - I firmly believe that the 2000 election WAS rigged. But the whole plan fell apart when voters beat the fix. That is why the Libtard/Dems threw such a temper tantrum. They had put a lot of effort, time, and money into buying/rigging the election. When their plan failed one domino after another, they felt they had been robbed.

But in a way, they won nearly as big of a victory - because they have convinced a lot of people that it was the Repubs who cheated. Stupid people since 2000 have reproduced and/or raised more stupid people.

Hillary hints that 2000 U.S. election was rigged...

Well...She's right, Gore tried to "cherrypick",
which counties he wanted to re-count....(just like Franken, in MN), but
the USSC; stopped him et al...(IIRC) said / inferred "one standard for all recounts".

that must have really impressed the Nigerians. To know that the US Secretary of State officially states the 2000 Presidential election was rigged.

Worse, according to “allafrica.com” reporting about her meeting in Nigeria, she disgusted the authentic Nigerian Government by sending invitations to meet with dissenters and opposers of the current Government, violating diplomatic protocol!!! They were really not happy with her!

Then, she meets with the opposition - and here’s what was written:

Visiting American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet in Abuja with a select group of top Nigerian opposition politicians, where issues bordering on electoral reform and the fight against corruption are expected to dominate discussions, officials said yesterday.

Daily Trust learnt that invitations to the meeting with Clinton have been sent to an unconfirmed number of top opposition politicians, including former Head of State Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, both of who contested but lost the 2007 presidential elections to President Umaru Yar’adua.

The meeting with the political leaders is to discuss “the challenges of Nigerian politics and possible way forward for democracy in the country,” an embassy official said.

Aides to Buhari and Abubakar have separately confirmed that their principals received invitations to meet with Clinton.

And then when Hitlery meets with them, she wants to make them feel better by telling them that we have problems with elections in the US? Tell me? How many died in the 2000 fiasco? Do you have any idea how many died in the post-election idiocy in Kenya? How many have died in Nigeria because of election opposition - the very people that Hitlery just dignified by meeting with them?

“Liberals will never quit pissing and moaning about that election. Losers, one and all”

They were so sure that they had that election stolen, and they came so close. The Florida supreme court was in the tank for them, but then at the last minute the US Supreme Court required Florida to follow its own laws. Oh, if only Beelzebubba had been able to appoint just one more leftist scoundrel...

You’re right, a defeat that bitter will never be forgotten. After all the ballot-box stuffing and stealing, all the absentee ballots lost, delayed, or illegally disqualified, all the lying propaganda and chad taping, they were denied by the same judiciary that has been such a good friend to them.

SCHADENFREUDE!

If al-Gore had carried his “home” state of Tennessee, Florida wouldn’t have mattered.

It seems she’s either:
a) pissed about something and not thinking clearly (Bill shenanigans?)
b) really confident in her job security
c) really despising her job and planning to announce other “bigger” plans
d) totally unaware that news made in Africa DOES hit the mainland and her little episodes aren’t going unnoticed
e) irked she couldn’t track down anything incriminating on BO to in Kenya with which to launch her takedown and that frustration is coming out everywhere she’s been since Kenya
f) auditioning for the role of VP since Biden has shown VP is code for “court jester” of the administration
g) off her rocker
