There is no guarantee that President Barack Obama will be able to avoid critics of his healthcare proposal when he hosts a town hall meeting in Belgrade, Mont., on Friday.
Local officials in Belgrade and neighboring Bozeman personally oversaw the handing out of passes Thursday in much the same fashion that a venue would dole out tickets to a rock concert. Hundreds of people seeking to attend the president's event began lining up Wednesday afternoon, and camped out overnight in the parking lots of the two local municipal buildings.
.
Gibbs said he believes the media have been disappointed that there were no fireworks at the president's town hall. He also made clear that, while the president does not welcome the sort of belligerent hecklers that have surfaced at numerous congressional town halls, he is holding his events to address what he says is misinformation that he thinks is fanning much of the opposition.
.
Marilyn Foltz, a city official in Belgrade, said she believes the Montana residents who waited overnight for tickets in queues that she said snaked like the lines at Disney World, "just want to hear what the president had to say."
.
"There was no effort," Foltz said, to skew the audience for the president's benefit. "It was very truly first-come, first-served. The tickets were dispensed until they were gone."

that’s why a town hall only has 10 actual questions.
A lot of commies in Bozman, UM.
I wish someone would have the guts to ask him to release all his Hawaiian Birth documents!
Most of the actual residents are busy trying to eke out a living.
They are out rounding up dogies, driving a tractor trying to get the hay in before the storm, and serving up country breakfasts to people at the local diner.
They will show up at the meeting and express their opinions if allowed to. But they will be fairly respectful. After all, it is the president of the United States.
All bets are off if Baucus or Tester were having town meetings. That could get pretty raucus. Baucus mind works like it has polio and I doubt if he would be quick enough to respond to anything.
Montanans that have lived in the state for awhile or grew up here are pretty darn sick of government. Instead of new programs they want the existing ones to work. Work on that for awhile. Why is change the only constant?
People are pretty darn poor out here, especially some of the ones that grew up here and stayed. All the money seems to stay in the cities and never makes it out to the really rural areas. Mining is gone. The final few sawmills are closing down and scrapping out. We can’t drill our own oil and put our people to work in good jobs. People don’t have the money for vacations so tourism is kinda slow.
But then again, it’s like that all over the country.
There’s not a whole lot of major population centers close to Bozeman. Are they going to bus in SEIU and ACORN from Denver or the Twin Cities?
These locals have jobs. The POS rent-a-mob are all blood suckers, and the vote of each of these bastards is equal to my vote.
Get ready!
They can import them from Butte, a lot of commies were living there in the early 50’s when I lived there as a kid. The mines, Wobblies.
Someone needs to ask the Senator, if he is allowed to speak....”Will you vote for this Bill? Now...be careful of your answer, since we are all voting in 2010. The first words out of you mouth have to be “Yes or No”. Then you can give your reasons for your ansewer. Answer the question Senator, Yes or NO.”
It’s time for a couple of “concerned citizens” in opposition to magically appear with pointed questions, be booed down by the crowd and Obama to be “peacemaker”- followed by a multitude of alphabet network talking head interviews of the questioners who claim they have been impressed by Obama’s message and ability to listen and are willing to compromise. Watch it happen.
I wish Sarah Palin would show up at one of his town halls.
What time is this garbage going to be on?
That sounds like a very easy audience to stack. Just make sure the right people get in line first.
Obamas constant is cowardice. The guy has no kind of spine to stand on.
+++++++++++++
They’ve seen the actual town halls. They will not allow that for the adoring press/national audience. Come to think of it, this kind of spin control is going all the way down to the Rep level:

The polls are showing how Americans are waking up and losing confidence in Barry.
I wish Sarah Palin would show up at one of his town halls.
+++++++++++++
Now that would be some good political theater.
Yes, I am absolutely sure that a Townhall where The Messiah is speaking will have someone who actually did not vote for Obama or want his healthcare plan made into law ask a question on TV.
Yes, I mean it I really believe it...
Seriously...
No doubt in my mind whatsoever...
Yep its gonna happen trust me...

It’s not San Francisco, but Bozeman has its fair share of moonbats due to the university and CA refugees. There’s a reason they call it Bozeafornia.
This seems to be a method that would favor paid demonstrators, people on the dole, and younger people, all of whom would tend to be Obama supporters.
How many grandmas and grandpas were able to camp out overnight?
How many people in wheelchairs?
How many people with kids at home can sit on a sidewalk all night long?
Words cannot describe the awesomeness of this idea.
