The truth is, Hamid Karzai is hopelessly corrupt, a puppet of the occupation forces and his governmental influence is confined to metropolitan Kabul, and nowhere else, whereas the rest of Afghanistan is governed by local warlords, the Taliban insurgency or the U.S. led ISAF occupation forces.
If Karzai wins this election, another seven years of corruption will continue to thrive in Kabul.
But I'm not supporting the Taliban in any way, because they would salivate at the desire to draw Afghanistan back under their barbaric 7th century rule.

I think that it is time to leave there as Afghanistan is proof that some form of “moderate” Islam is not coming to the rescue.

One of my professors is from Afghanistan. He agrees Karzai is very corrupt. He doesn’t like Abdullah Abdullah, the other guy running, either. There’s not anyone real great to choose from. Kinda like some of our elections.

This is pointless. These people will never change. Fighting forever and ever is all they have known for 1000 + years. Obama wants as many of our soldiers over there so he can take over everything. I bet the Taliban is getting intel from.......
