Much has been made about the possibility of "pulling the plug on grandma" in the current health care debate. But what of younger Americans, many of whom make up a large portion of America's uninsured? Young voters make up an important piece of Obama's electoral support.
Exit polls last November consistently showed voters 18 to 29 breaking for Obama and Democratic candidates for the House by wide margins. It seemed as though young voters were now the Obama generation.
But polls over the last few months have shown many voters -- including many young voters -- beginning to sour on the Obama administration. A late July Pew "Generation Next" study showed 38 percent of Americans supporting the health care proposals before Congress, with 44 percent opposing.

How dare Obama and his baby-boomer minions? When they were yoots, no one forced them to pay for older people's doctor bills. They spent their money on "pot... and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it."
When I was a yoot, more years ago than I care to admit, I worked a part time job to get money to pay for tuition and put gas in the car so I could back and forth to school. I didn't buy health insurance because I didn't need it and could not afford it. And I sure as heck didn't want the daggone gubberment forcing me to buy it.
The yoots of today do NOT need Barak Obama forcing them to pay for health insurance, which is nothing more than confiscating their money to pay for baby boomers.
All y'all yoots, Obama is trying to steal from you. What did you expect? He's a liberal. Never trust any liberal over thirty, or under thirty for that matter.
Barak Obama wants to steal your beer money!
Obama’s reality TV culture supporters are getting a nasty dose of reality and maturity through adversity.
I was at the Chris Carney townhall today, and there was over 400 people inside (the capacity is 275) with another 150 outside. I’d say the fogey-to-young’un ratio was about 70-30. but the anti-government vs. pro-government ratio was literally 90-10. It was wild. I can’t wait until the video is up. This is like the Ron Paul stuff from last year, but spread across every demographic and even across the political spectrum (for the most part anyway). People are informed, po’ed, and fed up. It’s about two decades of being crapped on and ignored by the government built up and ready to explode.
Now that will get people to sit up and take notice!!!
That is quite a shocking statistic. I would think that, as Obama continues to destroy our economy through his environmental agenda, higher taxes, increased debt, etc, younger people will have to eventually take notice that they are being negatively impacted by his policies. Of course, there are always those who can be swayed by the mantra that it is all Bush's fault.
Staggering.
Great. And then they’ll go back to school and get their masters, and then their PhD’s. Having never been in the real world, they will then teach at college a new generation about the joys of socialism.
Didn’t this happen before, except that, instead of escaping a bad economy, they escaped the Vietnam war?
One can only hope that their hippie parents can’t afford the tuition.
It would help if Jim Demints and John Coryns plan got more publicity,we have to fight Obamas plan but you fight one idea with another Idea and that is not being done
