Toomey Ahead Of Both Specter And Sestak

Republican former Congressman Pat Toomey leads in a poll against both of the Democrats vying to run against him in the 2010 U.S. Senate election, according to a Rasmussen poll.

Rasmussen Reports said today that 48 percent of Pennsylvania voters surveyed support the former Lehigh Valley representative while only 36 percent back Democratic Senator Arlen Specter.

U.S. Representative Joe Sestak, D-7th, of Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties only got 35 percent of poll respondents’ support in a match-up against Toomey, with the Republican getting 43 percent.

At this early stage, Mr. Sestak is the underdog in the Democratic primary, trailing Mr. Specter by 13 points, according to a Rasmussen survey whose results were announced yesterday.

I am glad Specter finally switched parties.

Incredible. In a blus state. Sestak with shining Blue Dog credentials (pro-life, pro-gun, pro-defense). And Sestak has charisma and is a good speaker. He ought to be a shoo-in.

But people have no other way to get rid of Reid and Pelosi and the nuts running the Congress.

And still the Republicans will not get behind Toomey.

Maybe he is better off without RNC support.

The first salvos on nationalized health care were fired in Pennsylvania.

Governor Thornburg was defeated by the Carvile backed candidate who made health care his only issue.

>> And still the Republicans will not get behind Toomey.

That blows me away.

I’ll contribute to individual conservative (R) candidates, but not a DIME to the RNC. Big government squishy rino pukes that they are.

And John Cornyn ought to be ashamed of himself for kissing up to Specter while dissing Toomey. Look how the tables have turned, Cornyn. It’s ALWAYS better to be true to your principles than to compromise them to “win”.

Toomey got a nice boost from Fast Eddie Rendell when he tried to raise income taxes recently. (PA can be known to lean red whenever the Democrats go into tax-hiking mode)

Thornburg was not defeated, it was his Lt. Gov., Bill Scranton, who was defeated by Bob Casey, Sr. father of our current brilliant genius of a Senator.

That Casey-Scranton campaign was the dirtiest thing I had ever seen. Every week Carville was coming up with some new TV ad which was a sucker-punch to the groin. That is where Snakehead earned his chops to get the gig with the Clintons.

The MSM in PA and the lefty papers haven’t started their attacks on Toomey yet and the poll no way takes into account the massive vote fraud in Philly

Thornburg was defeated by Harris Wofford

Begala was Wofford’s campaign manager.

My apologies if Carvile was not involved. I seem to remember he was. But then all dem snakes look alive to me.

Yes, it was thought Thornburg was a shoe in.

Kind of like the ugly corruption that brought mrs. Carnahan to congress, defeating Ashcroft who in the name of decency did not campaign following the plane crash that killed Carnahan.

Do we know yet if Pat Meehan is running for Sestak’s seat? I’m sick of seeing Sestak’s face every time I go to the polling place.

Sorry, but Sestak is a liberal puke who votes consistanly with the rest of the commie left wing democrats.

True Story...Somehow my township got gerrymandered into his district. I called his office to discuss the stimulus package about a day after it came out. His office girl claimed he read it...I say that was not possible. She blows up on me and said she doesn't appreciate me calling the people in her office liars. I said wait a minute, you sound like you're 20..she really sanps and says she is 20, but what does that have to do with anything? I laughed and said goodbye. Later that evening I get a return call...caller id says Joe Sestak. I answer and this guy tries to get tough with me because his office girl took offense to my attitude. I ask this guy who he thinks he is...he says he is retired navy..I say who give a ....? I tell him never to call my house again.

Sestak is a weasel.
