FAITH AND FAMILY "Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government's coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development. It's outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading 'home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children.' The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills. The bill says that the government agents, 'well-trained and competent staff,' would 'provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices,' and 'skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development.' Are you kidding me?! With whose parental principles and values? ... Do we really believe they would contextualize and personalize every form of parenting in their education, or would they merely universally indoctrinate with their own? ... One government rebuttal is that this program would be 'voluntary.' Is that right? Does that imply that this agency would just sit back passively until some parent needing parenting skills said, 'I don't think I'll call my parents, priest or friends or read a plethora of books, but I'll go down to the local government offices'? To the contrary, the bill points to specific targeted groups and problems, on Page 840: The state 'shall identify and prioritize serving communities that are in high need of such services, especially communities with a high proportion of low-income families.' ... Is all this what you want or expect in a universal health care bill being rushed through Congress?" --columnist Chuck Norris
No wonder the rush to pass this load of bill. The rats know that the people won't buy into health reform. They are coming for the children. The ones they don't abort.

It would be a health hazard for a govmint worker to come into my home.
We had a local program that did somewhat the same thing for children under 3. We participated in it, and it was helpful as new parents to see how our youngin’ was doing on “the scale” of development.
If this were kept under local control, it would be a different matter. Local control, though, is antithetical to what the left desires.
We need to give these socialization without representation statists the health care they deserve. They should be under 60/60/24/7/365 careful watch in THEIR houses.

There are a lot of dysfunctional families out there, single parents, and single parents who were the children and grandchildren of single parents. They have no model for what parenting should be or what a normal family is.
They could certainly use some help. The question is, who’s going to give it to them? The record suggests that the real agenda of the Democrat welfare bureaucracy is to keep these people on the welfare plantation, so they and their children and their children’s children will vote for more Dem politicians and welfare bureaucrats.

My wife and I decided that for ourselves. Please take no offense, but I could care less what some government agency has to say about my child's "scale of development". That's why we have doctors, teachers, our own parents, family, friends....... and natural, God-given parental sensibilities. Once you let any government delegate replace or supercede the above, you give away a piece of your freedom. Governments are wont to control people, and today they achieve this through "helping" the children. The less they appear in our private lives, whether by law or by choice, the better off we are.
In some states, Christian children have been labeled “already insane” by the educational system. You can be sure religion is one thing they will be monitoring. When the Communist State wants the children, they can’t belong to God or the parents. Once taught they are just another animal, people accept atheism, Communism, Socialism, Gaiaism (earth worship), Al Gorisms much easier, and are easier to influence and control.
Throw the entire damn bill out. It’s not about Health Care. I read it all, and some parts several times. It’s a power grab to control every aspect of our lives, just like Cap and Trade. We stop him NOW.

I agree. There is no health care crises. There's a welfare crises. 90% of Americas social programs are 100% unnecessary. There's no reason why most of these people can't work to pay their own bills.
Welfare reform would solve almost every ill this country has. The grasshoppers have outnumbered the ants, and the responsible American people are being enslaved by their own government because of it.
No man should be held as another mans slave. Unless the tax slaves stand up and demand their freedom, it's just going to get worse and worse, and just like every other socialist society before ours, some group will eventually be chosen as the villain and eliminated for the financial sake of the great collective.
