Still haven't found anything regarding who pays, although it's a safe bet it's taxpayer funded.

This year’s event will focus on Diabetes as its theme and feature an array of FREE health screenings. In addition, participants can receive information on important health issues, participate in a blood drive, hear from special guest speakers, and enroll on-site in health assistance programs like Medicare, Medicaid, PeachCare, prescription drug assistance and others for the uninsured.

Even those with insurance only have screenings once a year, or every 10 years for some screenings. With all the above in place, where is the crisis? Don’t overhaul the entire system for a few who are falling through the cracks!

” feature an array of FREE health screenings. “

‘FREE’ ain’t free... Somebody put up the bucks for all of those test kits and lab work...

Maybe I’m chasing shadows, here, and all of the time and materials were donated by good samaritans.... I’d just like to have that confirmed... ;)

Thanks for your efforts, my FRiend.....
