Armey: We're Marching on Washington Against Obamacare

Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey is organizing a march on Washington against the Obama administration’s healthcare plan that he hopes will finally finish off the Democratic push for socialized medicine.

The march, organized by Armey’s political group FreedomWorks, is scheduled for Sept. 12 and is already generating hundreds of thousands of responses, the Texas Republican tells Newsmax.TV. The group is isn’t providing transportation, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem.

True enough. But we must be vigilant that noone tries to use the movement for their own political purposes (which is the RINO way.)

I don’t think Armey can coopt an army, but an army can coopt him. We (the grassroots Tea Party movement) wanted a March on Washington, he had one planned at FreedomWorks and we joined it! We got our march! It’s been planned for months and we’re now fully mobilized and ready to roll. Nothing is going to stop us now!

We need a huge protest in DC to fight against Obama’s Marxist takeover of America. I’m not going to quibble over who claims credit for getting it done. Let’s just get it done! There will be plenty of time to fight amongst ourselves after we win the war.

Amen. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when you don’t care who gets the credit. Anti-obama everything crowds in D.C. will count as bodies. That’s all that matters for this march. The MSM will hardly report it anyway, much less give credit to anyone except those “rightwing terrorists”. One battle at a time folks. For this one we need body count.

Never going to happen. Too much power to be had...if we as a nation want to dampen any future endeavors toward socialized medicine then two things need to happen (and are what I think this movement should focus on when this thing hopefully gets killed):

1.Rip the IRS/Income tax code out by the roots: Congresscritters get their power from the tax code...they can forever vote buy with our money and vote themselves more of our money...we need to take control of the purse strings away from Congress. They can make up a budget based on revenue received from a neutral tax system which ALL participate in.

2.Term limits! No one should be spending a life time in Washington...working for the people is not a career choice but rather a privilege.

That’s not true though. He’s not claiming personal leadership. Dick Armey himself would say that he is not the Tea Party Movement. He *is* a leader, of a group called FreedomWorks, which has done a number of good things to help the Tea Party movement and protesters against Obama’s agenda.

They got ‘blamed’ for being the inspiration for townhall meeting mobs because of this ...
