Expansive China faces grass-roots resentment

ALGIERS (Reuters) – Algerian shopkeeper Abdelkrim Salouda has witnessed China's global economic expansion first-hand and he does not like it, especially since he was in a mass brawl this month with Chinese migrant workers.

"They have offended us with their bad behavior," said Salouda, a devout Muslim who lives in a suburb of the Algerian capital. "In the evening ... they drink beer, and play cards and they wear shorts in front of the residents."

I used to see Chinese workers in their big shorts and BVD tshirts in the African heat. Sensible dress. Get used to it wrag head..they own you.

Oh, the humanity! Oh, the horror! Those barbarians...wearing shorts! Were the shorts plaid and contrasting with pale white skin, black socks and brown shoes?

Seriously, I don't who I'm more sick of hearing from: whiny Muslims around the world or a whiny Muslim in the White Hut.
