I’m having trouble finding evidence that an ObamaCare supporter who spoke at Barney Frank’s town hall meeting last night, identified by the Associated Press and other media outlets as a Newton, MA doctor, actually is a doctor.

These people’s credibility have been completely destroyed. They’re lead by a pathological liar and a fraud. Why would anyone trust any “supporter’s” or representative’s claims at this point? Whether it’s a facade at a town hall, the White House or in Congress...the lack of integrity has been completely null and voided.

The woman WAS a pathologist -—a friggin specialist didn’t even take care of patients. AND she started a theater group for her home schooled children ( I don’t fault her necessarily for that) but that is all that she does now. She has been at this since 1993. How dare she claim to be a practising doctor. Yeah big deal she graduated with an MD. I grant her that. Not everyone passes their boards. Moreover she hasn’t practise in over 15 years. She is a nutwing activist.

I'm sure your readers are aware of the Sept. 24 D.C. rally to end the war in Iraq and to urge impeachment of Mr. Bush?
Sept. 24 is the Saturday two weeks from this weekend, soon after the start of classes, and therefore a potentially easy time for Berkeley students to get away to D.C. for this important event.
In addition, on September 24th 2005, there will be a mass anti-war protest in San Francisco. The protest will gather at 11 am in Dolores Park (19th and Dolores). More details about the march route and speakers will be made available over the next few months. Flyer For Protest
I hope you will place this information prominently in your paper and that many young members of the Berkeley community will find the time to show up in D.C. A forceful public statement is needed from the millions of people who are dismayed by the current administrations policies. We 55 year old moms and 80 year old grannies can't do it all.

I searched the Directory of Physicians in the United States 2009 via the SSA network. She’s listed in Newton. I can’t speak for the accuracy of the listing, but I can confirm that it is there.
Her real name is Sheila Lichtman, and she is married to Andrew H. Lichtman, M.D. who apparently is a practicing doctor.
She claims to own 4 homes (in Tuscany and Liguria , as well as Maine and the Boston Massachusetts area) and is the same Sheila Leavitt that works with the "puddlejump" players theater group that included her son Amos Lichtman who is quite a brilliant homeschooled kid as shown in this article.
