The gold medal favourite in tonight's women's 800m World Athletics Championships race is today facing claims that she is really a man.
South African Caster Semenya, 18, is set to race in tonight's final in Berlin after sailing through a semi-final on Monday in her first major international sporting competition.
But the teenage sensation has sparked controversy over her strikingly muscular physique, and today insiders claimed she would be gender tested following the final in Berlin.

Is that Kayne West?
Guilty.
That is not a female.
I say sir,excuse me,madam!
Please choose someone ELSE to verify one way or the other...I pass on the opportunity ...;’}
What an unfortunate last name, considering the subject..
Barney Frank might hit that.....
Paaaat!
I see an Adam’s Apple...
Looks like a man to me but what do I know? Maybe he/she/it feels like a women on the inside
Or that little fellow on PMSNBC Ray Maddow!

"That's a man, baybeee!"
A chromosome test is all that’s needed, it has given enough blood for drug testing that there should be plenty of samples to do a quick check on.
duuuude.
That’s A Man, Baby!

"That's a MAN!"
Do I want to know how this is done? Is it as simple as I'd assume?
Likely better for me to stay uninformed.
Actually, there are XY women (androgen insensitive). They don’t have the advantages associated with men, so they’re allowed to compete as women, I think.
AAAAARRRRRRRGH! My freakin’ eyes!!!!!!!!!!!
Clap your hands everybody, and everybody clap your hands....
I know that females can have straight waists, but that is awfully straight. NO breast, masculine face...
I don’t know, I suppose it could be female, but have they ever decided how hermaphrodites would be classified?
No waist. That’s a man.
There is a reason this person has to wear long shorts, instead of the cutoffs like the other participants.
The Adam’s apple is also a dead giveaway.
Interesting if he’s a man with a sex change operation. As far as I’m concerned, such a person is just a mutilated man. But the politically correct version is that you have a right to transgender yourself, and no one is permitted to question it.
The old test for athletes, of course, was to check if there is a Y chromosome, indicating a male. That should, of course, be the basis of judging. But if you hold to that, it will really upset the LGBT community and break the current rules of political correctness. Can they afford to do that?
Let’s see what happens.
Showing what a history nerd I am but, Stella Walsh anyone?

“’She looks manly, of course, but is she the only athlete who looks manly? I don’t think so. Just because she has facial hair means absolutely nothing. Would they have tested her if she wasn’t African?’
Whoa, this is hilarious!! ‘Just because she exactly like a man and grows a beard doesn’t mean she is a man!! This is RACIST!’ LMAO!!
That one isn’t a question of gender, it’s a question of species!
Interesting. I know my brother has a friend who has had three completely different blood DNA types in his life, they had to irradiate and replace his marrow. I do believe that if he was checked right now they would be looking for a woman, if it was a crime scene.
That’s a dude.
Like, I so know that line.. Revenge of the nerds. LoL
I thought that's the common arm to wear a watch on...no matter if you are man or woman?
Am I wrong?
The testing is DNA and other tissue typing -— has been around quite awhile. Swabs, some blood, maybe a scrape of skin Not a big deal

Chick with a d*ck.
I thought it had to do with whether you were right or left-handed (for winding). My dad’s a lefty and wears his watch on his right wrist. I wear mine on my left (and I’m a female)
correction:
I think the reason some women wear their watch on the right is because they might be wearing bracelets or jewelry on their LEFT...but i think people wear it for comfort...
Okie dokie.........
Yes i know.. it was an attempt at a joke which didnt work...:)
:-) Done that a few times myself!
I wear mine on my left wrist because I am right handed.
If there’s no d*ck, must they acquit?
Will (s)he be required to change names, to “Semenno”?
bump to send to my weight lifting friend.
