"I dont feel an ounce of sympathy for Elizabeth. She was her husbands enabler even after she knew everything." Bingo. From my perspective, she was the most political ambitious one of the pair.

Yeah..., she sees the inheritance for the kids being split one more way..., plus she doesn’t like the idea that the bimbo may be getting some money after she’s gone...
He created a mess, that’s for sure...

There are 2 Americas - one in which your cancer-stricken wife explodes in rage and another one in which you and your mistress play house.

I know, it's the Enquirer.Nothing wrong with that. They're the ones who broke the story in the first place.

I’m not a fan of Liz either, but who even knows if she has cancer? She just opened a furniture store. Before that, she was campaigning with him. Do those look like activities for a cancer-stricken woman with limited time with her young children? It might all have been a ploy - loving husband ‘08, grieving widower ‘12.
I thin we ought to give Rielle Hunter some kind of a medal for having taken the trash out.

"He told Elizabeth he was tired of all the lies, and that's why he was ready to publicly admit Frances is his baby. "That's when Elizabeth exploded! In a fit of rage, she grabbed a suitcase and started packing her things . . ."
What took her so long, who else did she think the baby's father could be?!!

She sounds as gullible as hillary's to bill's indiscretions. It's not gullibility with these people. It's greed and power.

He will have one family for each of his two “Americas”. Mistresses work wonders! He didn’t learn much from Lurch in the 2004 race, did he? Lurch philandered his way into the pants of a wealthy (but very nutty) food mogul. Silky Pony dipped his pen into the company inkwell with his videographer. You philander your way UP, not stoop lower when seducing or being seduced.

Think about the gene pool here.
Mom: wackjob flower child celeb hound
Dad: lying scum trial lawyer / politician
Of course kids have overcome difficult circumstances like that before.....

This Hunter woman sure hit the jackpot. She isn’t even good looking.
I have some sympathy for Elizabeth - it’s too easy to judge someone in a miserable situation - especially when she was trying to be relevant in the face of her husband’s cheating.

I dont feel an ounce of sympathy for Elizabeth. She was her husbands enabler even after she knew everything. Unless you've walked the proverbial mile in her shoes, your condemnation of Elizabeth Edwards is not justified.
She may have had squalid motives. Or she may have acted honorably. The bottom line is that we don't really know what prompted her to act as she did -- but we do know that she's a woman under tremendous stress for reasons that are not her fault.
Whatever Elizabeth Edwards' shortcomings may be, I'm content to feel sorry for her, regardless of her motives.
