President Barack Obama, trying to regain control of the health-care debate, will likely shift his pitch in September, White House and Democratic officials said, as he faces pressure from supporters to talk more about the moral imperative to provide health insurance to all Americans.
The rethinking comes amid a struggle by the White House to clarify its view on a public insurance plan, which liberals see as a critical part of a health overhaul.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Sunday that a public plan isn't the "essential element" of a health bill, prompting sharp words from liberal groups.

How does one make an emotional and moral appeal FOR a bill that covers abortion and rations care?
If this were just about emotional and moral values, they would spend some of the bizillion $$$ they’ve been printing to expand Medicaid or Medicare, the current “public” plan, to those who are uninsured....but since it’s about SOCIALIZED medicine, the only way to gain control is to claim there is a crisis and destroy the current system.

There is nothing “moral” about politicians stealing the fruits of one man’s labor to buy the votes of those who think others should pay their bills.
Government mandated free stuff for some = bondage for others.
If this passes, it will be interesting to see how he “appeals” to doctors who refuse to accept patients on a “public/government” plan that reimburses them mere pennies on the dollar.
The essence of this program

So, if the illegal alien doesn't have health insurance (not acceptable healthcare - that's using wrong terminology), he's going to be TAXED. Since most of them work in the underground economy, who's going to tax them? And will they be turned away from doctors and hospitals if they refuse to be covered?
Since a big hunk of the uninsured are illegal aliens, how is all this legislation really going to change anything?? How many of us live in states with large illegal alien populations? How many of those states have mandatory auto liability insurance? How many of those illegal aliens actually carry such insurance? How many of us have been subject to a hit and run by an illegal alien because he/she is not insured?
You may be right...otoh, this may just be the next step in the Alinsky method, since the polarization crap and targeting the messengers didn't work...it'd be interesting to know why Hussein's handlers are making him go this way.
One thing is certain: only his desire for control is genuine. The rest is window dressing.
It would be so great to hear loud sobbing from the audience. I mean after all he is trying to pull the heart sting card. That would be perfect...fake tears for fake sob stories.

It would be immoral for the government to take my money because it will prevent me from helping the less fortunate thus preventing me from following Christ’s teaching to help others.
