It turns out Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) made more waves at the Netroots Nation conference on Saturday, accusing Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) of "treason" for saying that health reform would result in doctors "pulling the plug on grandma."
"I mean what Grassley said the other day was an act of treason. I'm sorry. It's not being called on," the outspoken Democrat said to a group of liberal activists.
The Senate Finance Committee ranking member made his claims about the end-of-life provisions in the House healthcare bill last Wednesday, but retracted his claims later in the week.
Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) also slammed Grassley for his comments last week, asking the Iowa Republican to stop spreading "myths" about "death panels."
Grassley said on Thursday that the Finance Committee would drop the end-of-life clause from its version of the bill.
Massa also criticized limited-government conservatives in colorful terms.
"Throw your hand grenade, pull the pin out, toss it back, let it blow up in their hands," he said at the event in Pittsburgh. "You think government's bad? Great! Let's stop all funding for NASA tomorrow."
In the same conversation, Massa said that he was prepared to "vote against my district" on the healthcare reform bill and expressed support for single-payer health insurance. Massa hails from a conservative, upstate New York district.
Yup. No invective used in the DemonRat party.

Massa should look in the mirror and at his democratic teammates. He will know who is committing the treason. He can look at Obama and Soros too.
I’ve been really impressed with Sen. Grassley. I gave him a bit of hell not long ago for talking about a “Senate compromise” but he has definitely stepped up. Some of these guys just need to be reminded of the leaders they can be.
Obviously, this dumbass Massa does not know the definition of “treason.” Somebody get the boy a dictionary.
I thought the Dems didn’t want anyone challenging another’s patriotism? Wait a minute. I was wrong. That only applies to them. Hypocrites!
As Mark Steyn has pointed out, the problem is not “pulling the plug on Grandma” — the problem is that Grandma will not be considered worth plugging in in the first place.

It’s easy to be offended by this statement, and it is damned offensive. But I’m glad he said it, because he showed his true nature, and he just gave Republicans another television commercial.

Not ALL government is bad. NASA and the military are doing normal government functions that the private sector can’t perform well. They perform them reasonably well. But medicare, social security and the post office are examples are inept government that should not be extended into new territory.
As an *employee* of his district constituents, this would amount to insubordination on Massa's part ....

End of life provision is take out of the Bill? How can they take it out if it never existed? These guys are amazing. They are fighting for their lives and don’t know which way to turn. People, even their own, are figuring it out and they don’t like what they are seeing.
I was into hiding about my state's 2 Senators; as Grassley had been acting rather strange the past few years.
But with enemies and comments like this from Comrade Massa and his friends; I am feeling much better about Grassley.

Barbara Wagner was denied treatment by Oregon's state medical insurance program, because it was too expensive at $4000 a month. However the insurance program did cover assisted suicide drugs, at a one-time cost of only $50. Barbara lost her battle with lung cancer a few days ago, but it was after having received the life extending drugs. The pharmaceutical company, after hearing about her situation, gave her the drugs for free.
Of course, this will bring about yet another example of "who are you going to believe? Me, or your lying eyes?" responses by the Obama administration.
Frankly, I was really shocked that this didn't get more coverage in the national media. I mean, this is just so "over the top!" But then I came to realize just how "in the bag" the media is for Obama and his plans to chance the nature of America.

That is just part of his image. His drawl definitely doesn’t help in the image area however. Strange, because most people here are accent neutral!
He stays fit, having taken up running about 15 years ago.
Grassley has tried to be too “nice”, and get along with the other side as he really believes that needs to be done.
But he is generally a conservative guy; and has gotten an earful (and I think really listened to people) at the town halls.
Boy! When you get old Obama's care (Obama scare) will bring new meaning to "Give me liberty or give me death."
