I made a point of using the 32 dB foam ear plugs when working on noisy aircraft and shooting. Lately, I do that when riding my motorcycle on the freeway. It really cuts the wind noise and makes the bike engine sound more like a well oiled sewing machine motor. I've noticed many of the old guys on their Harley farting sofas are wearing ear plugs as well.
