Austin is a sanctuary city, many of my friends have gone there, been deported, and go back. Another broken system from the same people who want to run the Health clinics. Some real intellectuals there in the Univ. of Tex in Austin. Put food outside your door, and stray dogs WILL show up.....

The politicians were just bragging that Texas had $9 billion in the bank. What about using that?

Oh that’s right, why pay when someone else will.

If I was Governor, I’d drill offshore in Texas waters, dare the feds to stop me, and START the friggin’ war, already.

I guess I won’t hold my breath waiting for Gov. Perry to start talking about secession over the burdens of accepting funds from Fedgov.

And this will be the tipping point when the producers are broke and the gimmes riot over their welfare check.

Not to disparage those out of work in this economy. They should step in front of the lifetime dependents.

Well...there goes all the 10th Amendment rhetoric. So much for States’ Rights and the enumerated powers (unemployment ain’t on the list).

I was hoping that Texas would be a shining (lone) star in this insane Constitutional landscape. Guess I was wrong.

It’s still time to take back the country.

It's no damn wonder, our state is full of out of state license plates.

Liberals are moving here in groves.

They've screwed up their own states and now they'll come here and keep voting liberal. WE'RE SCREWED

What happened to all the money paid into the unemployment insurance system by employees and employers?

That question never gets answered.

Personally, I think they have the money to pay for this. They just don’t want to. They’d rather get it from the feds.

Several State Senators and Representatives have told me at a business conference that a lot of stimulus money was accepted by the state, but that “there were no strings attached.” Sure.

I thought the Governor was wanting to secede from the USA anyway. He could then apply for foreign aid and also get loans from World Bank and Export Import Bank. Sarc.

Well given the fact that your own government has spent and borrowed 100,000 time more, I’d say you got the tail waging the dog. But you’re right about one thing, the problem of government corruption is definitely growing.
