Ex-Georgia congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney, is convinced that “The Zionist Lobby” controls Washington, the mainstream media and other aspects of American society.
McKinney openly espoused these theories at an Aug. 14 Houston event, in which she was honored as “the most courageous ally of justice and humanity,” and a “hero of the Palestinian cause.” McKinney met lit-tle challenge to her theories from the largely like-minded, and tightly policed, audience of 100 people.
The event took place in a side room at Cafe Layal, 6328 Richmond Ave. Sponsored by the Palestinian American Cultural Center, it was attended by members of the local offices of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Green Party. The Consulate General of Jordan in Houston also was represented.
CAIR brought McKinney to town to headline its annual Houston banquet, which took place Aug. 15 at the Westin Oaks Galleria. PACC and the Green Party each filled tables at the banquet, which drew an audience of 400. The café event, the night before, was used to promote the banquet.

Jewish culture has a long history of producing scholars. They are a bookish minded people. We shouldn’t be surprised to find a disproportionate number in highly educated pursuits. Unfortunately in today’s America that tends to mean leaning lefty because that’s where most of the higher education is.

The more I think about this situation, the more I think it would have been better not to have set up a Jewish state in the middle of the mad Middle East. We should have invited the Jews to immigrate to America. We could easily have absorbed them. They would have been a positive contribution to our society, and we all would have avoided a lot of grief.
The Holy Land has a sacred historical meaning, as dangerous as its locale is. It’s not like it could be loaded on to a barge and floated over to Florida. The Jews also remembered too well the treachery of the late WWII years where a ship full of Jewish refugees was simply turned away from the US shore, and the US banded together with a Communist country that was only a little less murderous than Nazi Germany. That was a time of Rat domination (FDR) and they would do well to be very leery of Rats in particular.

I don’t know. I think by the time a person is eighteen years old, he’s not so easily swayed. At that age, you’re probably about a smart as you will ever be in your life, and you are being exposed, hopefully, to new ideas every day, from quantum theory to Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason. I took a course from a self-avowed Marxist and never felt that I would lose my bearings. I just wanted to learn more about Marxism, and it was a genuinely worthwhile course to have taken.
In short, if you are easily swayed in college because you have a liberal or conservative professor, then you are the kind of American voter who is going to be swayed by the 30 second commercials run during political campaigns. There is very little hope for these people. On the other hand, people who can think need never fear being exposed to a new idea. In fact, they should be encouraged in that direction.
I don’t remember who it was who said that if you’re not liberal when young you have no heart, and if you’re not conservative when old you have no head.
Lives don’t always work that way. I’m an ex-liberal. I went gaga for Jimmy Carter and rather resented Reagan. I studied a lot of political science in college. When I gave up some bad personal habits, I began also to see that the conservatives were more correct than I had given them credit for.

Terrible, but I think they would still have taken the option to come to America, if it had been offered. Sure they preferred their Biblical homeland, but look how it has worked out. Better to have come here.

What’s the old saying, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend...”? Russia started out WW2 as an ally of Germany, but we were happy to have them hold off the Nazis until we were ready to invade France. The Russians lost 20 million fighting Germany compared to our half a million.
The situation is made more complex in that they do believe the divine promises in their holy book will come to pass. So they want to be where that stuff is predicted to happen.
I would warn them personally (as a Christian) that Rats in particular are likely to turn out hazardous to their health.
As a freethinker, please do not consider it an absurd notion to freethink your way into a religious faith, and find a God who tells you that He guided you there.

Who would have ever imagined the great flirtation that this country is having with socialism under Obama and the Rats on the Hill? Back in WWII we certainly hoped Russia would be helpful, and in the immediate picture they were, but perhaps with a naive view of the larger picture. General MacArthur wanted to clean their clocks too, what with all that was going on in Poland, but FDR and Truman said no.
Yet they love to vote them into office.

Aye, the Jewish mind (ashkenazi anyway) is usually a sharp one. Make no mistake, I have a ton of intellectual respect for them. I’m just extremely leary of them in powerful positions because of the fact that Zionist jews have a natural bias towards their religious homeland which is not good for American interests any more than a hardcore Muslim would be. And I also agree that they tend to be liberal bordering on socialist, regardless of the party affiliation. That’s why the neoconservative thinkers who formed much of GWB’s policy used big government without blinking an eye to advance their agenda and goals.
One other thing you might enjoy that I just remembered as I was posting my previous message. Not too long ago I was debating a Jewish friend of mine on middle east policy. The conversation shifted and I asked him strait out how the Jew and the Arab, while being so closely related, can be so opposite in behavior. He said that Jews are Vulcans and Arabs are Romulans. Which, if you are a Star Trek fan, is hilarious and makes a ton of sense.
