Move on! The media has thoroughly discredited Sarah Palin on this issue. No need to examine the facts. I saw it on the news.

Congress has to thank God for the media. At least there is one institution that is more mistrusted than Congress.

Agreed. This whole thing is about the money. If it’s not, let them decide how much money it would take to take care of our veterans and if they should decide to end their life, pay their family that amount. One way or another, they have to take care of our vets and their family.

Yesterday Chris Wallace racked (can’t remember the woman’s name) from the VA, over the coals. She said it was being revised. And Chris question was, while it’s being revised shouldn’t you take it down, she danced all around that. The book was written by a doctor who is a assisted suicide advocate.

This whole thing is about the money.

Personally, I think it's more about control and staying in power, the money comes last. Just my opinion. I mean, they can just reach in our pockets and take more, and there's nothing we can do about it. Or, if there isn't enough, they just print more money.

Correct. But the less money you have, the more control they have over you.

I’ve started reading Rahm’s “The Plan”. Right up front he criticizes the gov’t getting involved in the Terri Scahivo (sp?) affair, wording the passage as if starving someone ill to death were a given, just axiomatic.

Someone with such axioms cannot be worked with.

It is very much in use. One of my friends and her Dh both get healthcare through the VA since both served. She has MS and at her last visit it was required reading. I am so mad about this! Imagine someone who might be months away from needing a wheelchair being asked if life is worth living once they are in it? LIke she isn’t already depressed over it enough! Outragous!

Thanks, FRiend.

I used Adobe/View/Read Out Loud to listen to page 21. It produces a very creepy HAL9000-like effect.

Cordially,

Bingo.
He did a great job with this.
They should also unleash the Gingrinch again to double-team on the weirdness coming out of the Obama administration. The science czar Holdren's call for doping the water supply with sterilization drugs for population control. Obama's "stimulus package" is funding bizarre sex research projects. More Obama supporters on the take probably. 9 trillion in debt and the Dems are funding condom studies. Sort of gives new meaning to the "Trojan Horse" of Obamanomics.

Robert Pearlman, MD - author of: Your Life Your Choices

~~~~
Robert Pearlman, MD, MPH, is a Professor of Medicine (as well as Health Services, and Medical History and Ethics) at the University of Washington.
He attended Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Emory University and the University of Washington.
He received post-residency training as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar, a Fellow in the Ethics and the Professions Program at Harvard University, and a Faculty Scholar in the Project on Death in America.
He joined the Center in the summer of 2000. His interests and expertise pertain to empirical research in clinical ethics (especially end-of-life care) and organizational ethics.
His research has explored euthanasia, the role of quality of life in decision-making, the validity of life-sustaining treatment preferences, medical futility, advance care planning, physician-assisted suicide, and relief of patient suffering.
He is the author of two books and over 100 publications in medical journals and book chapters.
His most recent book, entitled Your Life, Your Choices, is an interactive workbook to help patients and family members with advance care planning.
(NOTE THAT IT WASN’T INITIALLY DIRECTED TO MILITARY VETS.. this is likely their trial balloon - IMO)
Your Life, Your Choices will be available to veterans through MyHealtheVet in 2007.
He has mentored many junior faculty throughout the United States in the technique of combining empirical research methods and ethics.
Hi. Death book author Perlman’s association with RW Johnson foundation is a red flag to me. Robert Woods Johnson foundation is non-profit arm of SC Johnson Corp.—the prohibition corporation.
Anyone can read more about leftist foundation here:
http://www.alcoholfacts.org/RWJfoundation.html
author, Dr. Hanson of Potsdam University, NY.
Might help.
Might not.
