I’m here again and ready for my blood pressure stress test.
I used to worry about having a heart attack when I go hunting in these Tennessee Hills.
But I’ve been watching Glenn Beck for a few months now, I read “Common Sense” and attended a few tea parties.
My heart is still ticking so I guess it’s stronger than I first assumed.

...I am quite excited today. Several reasons....
...first Beck is certainly getting attention this week, yes he is. You know they’re getting scared when they begin the attack. This joke of a boycott was first attempt. witness their insane reaction to Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney.
Second, Rush is going to be on Beck’s show today. Love to see Rush and Beck line up. I dare to dream that these two leaders might actually be hashing up some kind of group effort because for all the town halls and tea parties, if we only had some leadership we’d show them how many we are. Not like the pubs are leaders or anything what with the tans and head hairs.
But that’s wishful thinking maybe.
Finally, in case y’all did not hear, Ted Kennedy passed today. Now this is not the thread to be discussing Ted and I won’t. But I’ll pass on this little tidbit that I deem to be vewy, vewy interessin’.
Guess what the number ONE, numero UNO for those of you in Rio Linda, search item is on Google today as well as top subject on Twitter?
If you guess Ted Kennedy, well you’re close. If you chose “Ted Kennedy’s wonderful life’s accomplishments”, NOPE. If you chose “Ted Kennedy, revered lion of the senate”...NOPE. If you chose “Ted Kennedy esteemed history on health care”...NOPE again.
The Internet folks, is aflame with searches and Twitters on the words....MARY JO KOPECHNE.
For all his wealth and power and a lifetime to overcome this despicable act, it looks like Mary Jo Kopechne WILL be the man’s legacy.
In fact, my daughter this morning asked me about Ted Kennedy and I took the opportunity to tell her the complete story about Mary Jo, how the fine, fine Lion of the Senate she’ll hear all day in the news as the liberal media bows to his name, left her to die alone in a car, struggling to breath out of one small air pocket up in the well of the upside down car. I told how he didn’t report the accident for TEN hours as he had to contact his lawyer and goodness he was tired, lord, after all that work.
My daughter was shocked. Well damn folks, they don’t teach these kids this stuff in school or anything.
So we got a whole generation of young folks under forty or thereabouts who don’t know the truth about Kopechne. In another Freep thread the discussion is much along these lines, how so many people are so shocked at fine fine Ted’s blatant murder of this woman, how can it be anything else but?
So the Dems, God bless them, are going to have a hell of a time trying to convince us that we should pass a mess of a socialized medical plan in honor of a man who left a young girl to die a slow death at the bottom of a pond for God’s sake.
Mary Jo Kopechne....in the final laugh, it will be Ted’s legacy. There is a God, folks.
