Obama will head to Camp David on Wednesday, September 2, and stay through the weekend, White House spokesman Bill Burton told reporters in a Thursday briefing.
Joking that it may have been "wishful thinking" to suggest Obama's current trip out of Washington would coincide with a news-free week, Burton quipped that the president needs a "break from his vacation."

Maybe they spotted a trend that when he stops campaigning/teleprompting his poll numbers go up a few points.

That said, I’d like Obama to take as much vacation as he likes. The less governing he does, the better it is for America.
Sounds like Obama’s handlers have finally figured out what a terrible communicator he is, and have decided to keep him away from the teleprompter. He can spout campaign generalities, but he’s not capable of handling details. Unfortunately,(for him, not us) he doesn’t have a competent VP to back him up. That was another reason the left hated Cheney so much.

Teleprompters aren't reloaded with the new health care propaganda yet, so Obama told to lay low a while longer, till the Kennedy funeral, which will also be the launch of the health care offensive. What better time that when Media can use the funeral as an excuse for a days long bombardments of free health care campaigning while Obama stands on top of Kennedy's casket preaching how it was his dying wish to give All Americans commie care.
I would be happy if the Prez just went ahead and took a vacation for the rest of his term of office.
