The Los Angeles County coroner's office officially ruled the death of Michael Jackson a homicide and said he died of "acute propofol intoxication."
According to a statement from the coroner: The "manner of death has been ruled homicide. Cause of death was established as acute propofol intoxication. Other conditions contributing to death: benzodiazepine. The drugs propofol and Lorazepam were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jacksons death. Other drugs detected were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine, and ephedrine. The final coroners report includes a complete toxicology report will that remain on security hold at the request of the Los Angeles police department and the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office"
Homicide refers to a death at the hand of another person, but does not necessarily translate to criminal charges. In court papers, the Los Angeles Police Department has identified Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician at the time of his death, as the target of a manslaughter investigation.

I don’t how the coronor could have ruled this was a homicide. There would have to be intent. If this is the case they are going to have to round up thousands of enablers and doctors who supply celebrities with their “prescription” drugs.
To: DogBarkTree
Agreed, Propofol probably just helped it ALONG.

Propofol, midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine, and ephedrine. And more than one shot of some.
His blood must have been 10% drugs. I can’t believe he couldn’t sleep with all that crap in him until he was nearly dead.
To: Welcome2thejungle
No, I believe manslaughter is listed as homicide with coroner findings.

I dont how the coronor could have ruled this was a homicide. There would have to be intent.Intent is what's needed for a first degree murder charge. There's also negligent homicide, yes?

Homicide simply means he was killed by the actions of another, as opposed to his own or an accident or illness.
Murder (which requires intent) has not been found to be the cause... yet.

To: Abathar
There will and should be a malpractice suit, and his insurance will probably not cover him...
There no doubt will be a wrongful death suit from the family.
Anyone can call anonymously to the dept of professional registration and have his licensed put of for investigation.
The you have the criminal charges which he may or may not win, but only after millions of dollars in legal fees.
The sad thing is, like Elvis, MJ was surrounded by people who were paid to protect him, and didn’t. That include mediocre musicians and song writers and producers.
The man went down hill after Quincy Jones stopped producing his records...both musically and as a human being.

Well he's “sleeping” soundly now. It should be an object lesson to all Veterinarians just how difficult it is to put down the type of crypto-zoological anomaly that was "Michael Jackson".

A reckless act by another who should have known better would constitute a coronor’s finding of “homicide.”

It HAS to be ruled homicide. Manner of death only gives you a certain number of choices
1) natural causes
2) accidental
3) suicide
4) homicide
5) undetermined ( usually in cases where you have deteriorated remains)
6) unclassified ( to complex to delineate)
The fact that people doctor shop and overdose on pills tends to be classified as suicide. In this case the doctor was in attendance and administering the drugs in question ( in a grossly unethical and contrary manner I might add)
To: Welcome2thejungle
MJ might as well have hired Dr Kervorkian.
