Are there different rules regarding school property? That sounds ridiculous given the sign wasn’t graphic or repulsive.
If not, Officer Cheeks should be facing some trouble. Wishful thinking, I know, but I think he was behaving “stupidly.”

The video is unbelievable...the officer was (IMHO) intejecting his own political feelings and opinions of the poster into a exercise of infringing on 1st amendment rights on what appeared to be public property.

Comments at the youtube site indicate that the officer is Fairfax County Public Schools Security Services.

The officer apparently works for Fairfax County Public Schools Security Services. Maybe we’re finding out new “laws” and “rulings” that have slipped by us. It does not make them right, moral, or even “legal”...but they apparently do have people who will enforce them under threat of imprisonment or violence.
When the civilian army is formed, I guarantee you Wesley Cheeks will be in it.
I think, in this case, any poster that was critical of Obama and his health care plan...and was rational was found to be "unacceptable".

I think this guy was told to keep signs off the grounds with photos on them specifically to avoid the Obama Joker sign - which the word has gone down that Obama DOES NOT like it AT ALL. He’s probably a nice enough fellow to have a beer with, but then you challenge his authority and like most typical cops if you don’t do what they tell you to do when they tell you to do it, they turn into bullies and forget who they work for. But now it’s caught on tape more and more.
It’s sad that this guy is so misguided (just does what he’s told to do) and will likely lose his job because some lib city hall leader sent word down through the police force to keep these signs down. Now he’s going to lose his pension and his job all because some other guy wanted to stifle the rights of others. Yes, it was this guys words which are jaw-dropping, but I guarantee you someone above his pay grade set up this situation - and that person will not pay any price!
I know for a fact a couple of those are definitely true...the others are very likely.

The video is incredible - and speaks volumes about the state of the union.
