"This used to be America," argued a protester outside a health-care town hall meeting in Reston, Va., after a police officer threatened him with arrest for holding up a sign with a picture critical of Barack Obama.
The officer's response?
"It ain't no more, OK?"
A video of the town hall held earlier this week by Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., shows an unnamed protester standing on school grounds carrying a sign that read "Organizing for National Socialist Health Care The Final Solution" and depicted Barack Obama in the Joker's makeup.
Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. then told the protester that even though others were holding signs, his sign was unacceptable because of the depiction of Obama.
"But you got this with a picture," Cheeks said, explaining why the protester was being singled out from the others. "That's the difference. This has got a picture on it. That don't have a picture on it.
"Sir, leave the picture down," the officer said. "If you put the picture back up, you'll be charged with trespassing."

part of the issue is that this was on a school property. Freepers should be do some legal research to determine what is allowed in such circumstances because the Dems may start to use schools to thwart anti-Obama people.
He looked as if he was the security force for the school or for the Fairfax County School district perhaps. I was there Tuesday and saw both Fairfax County police as well as school security. This guy did not have a Fairfax County Police uniform.
Consider the “FRIGGIN” source!!
“Im just guessin hes black”
You’re a WINNER!
Someday soon pigs like this will be coming for our guns...
But he *is* a white man. Some people choose to look at his black half ... I’ll look at his white half. All those people that think they voted for a black man voted for a white man.
idiot cop, probably a member of ACORN
I would say that if everyone emails the school board, we might get some reactions...

Just copy and paste...The last name on that list should be the guy who hires and fires security people...
Id settle to see if they have the stones to answer any of us...Not going to hold my breath though...Niether should you...But this could be fun...

You may call Cheeks a “stupid tool,” but he’ll still be the one pulling the trigger on the weaponry used to drive you back, wound, or kill you if things continue along the trajectory they’re on.
Sun Tzu wrote: “Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting.”
If we can break the enemy’s resistance by making an example of Officer Cheeks about what happens to fascist cops who violate their oath to support the Constitution of Virginia and the United States, then that is “supreme excellence.”
Cheeks actually believes what he says, that he can arrest anyone for anything and get away with it, and that’s a BIG PART of what we’re fighting against. If we don’t punish Cheeks, and instead leave him and the cops who think just like him alone, and go after the higher-ups who are surrounded by hundreds of armed men just like Cheeks, then how can you possibly expect to win?
See, the transient politicians are not the root of this poisonous tree, the roots go much deeper into the recruitment, training, the culture, and the attitudes of police all across the country. Voting out one empty suit politician and replacing him with another will do NOTHING to educate Officer Cheeks, or punish him for violating civil rights.
Joe the Plumber just asked a question that others didn’t like. Officer Cheeks threatened to use the violent power of the State to punish someone for criticizing a politician.
What Officer Cheeks did is a FEDERAL CRIME, while asking an uncomfortable question is NOT. It’s foolish to compare Cheeks to Joe the Plumber.
Yes, Cheeks is a man, but he has a mind of his own and can DECIDE whether or not to violate the law and trample the rights of the citizens who pay his salary. Cheeks is a criminal, and he doesn’t deserve any more sympathy than a mugger, a bank robber, a wife-beater, or any other person who uses threats of violence to make other people obey.
I saw another Black police officer years ago in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was dressed in riot gear, defending the lives of hooded Ku Klux Klan members against an large, angry mob.
THAT cop is a HERO and a tribute to the badge, Cheeks is just a thug with a badge who can’t control his emotions.

Are school district security officers sworn?
bttt
“This used to be America,” argued a protester...
The officer’s response?
“It ain’t no more, OK?”
This is not going to end well. We all know this and when you have an officer sworn to uphold the law and the constitution spouting this kind of answer, well you know that it can’t end well.
So, IF someone ever asks Emperor obie about this, I’m sure he will say, “No comment. I got in trouble the last time I talked about police.”
Of course, sounds like this guy ain’t no poe-leece.
“Emperor obie” I like that......wonder if he is related to Officer Obie from Alice’s resturaunt (for you younger freepers you should find a copy of that song)
Of course Emperor Obie is half white......but ...
Info on Wesley Cheeks:
how about some good still shots?
“Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. then told the protester that even though others were holding signs, his sign was unacceptable because of the depiction of Obama.”
Officer Cheeks was going to call for back up from his department:
“OFFICER NEEDS ASSISTANCE”:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bayNhJayn_U
The video is unbelievable...the officer was (IMHO) intejecting his own political feelings and opinions of the poster into a exercise of infringing on 1st amendment rights on what appeared to be public property.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIKPKjl0-pg
Folks should watch the video. 50,000+ views the first night. It is indeed a policeman infringing on a townhall attendee's 1st amendment rights over a poster made from a picture on my Obama-Care final soultion site:

This issue, and the overwhelming rejection of it (and Obama) by the American people is really bringing the marxists and fascists out of the woodwork.
"I can arrest you on any charge I choose", "This aint America any more", etc., etc.
Comments at the youtube site indicate that the officer is Fairfax County Public Schools Security Services.
Like you, I live in Maine.
But I lived for years in Southern California, and they’ve had black police officers associatons for years....not exactly unions, but close enough.
This used to be America, argued a protester...
The officers response?
It aint no more, OK?
Every conservative needs to remember this when their local public schools ask them for donations , ask them to buy from their fund raising sales etc .
Every time any legislation comes up asking for more money for any kind of public education conservatives need to vote NO. The beast that is the public education system that is failing to teach real history to our children and instead filling their minds with complete trash needs to be starved.
school property = government property = first amendment violation and legally actionable in court.
The “enemy is not Mr. Cheeks, who is just a stupid tool in this very elucidating incident now for the whole WORLD to see.”
Just because he is not at the top of the food chain does not mean he isn’t the enemy. The tools are the ones who do the enforcing for the masters. And if he has a badge he is a very dangerous “tool.”
Very true. Without people like Cheeks, there IS no problem. Think Nazism without Nazis -- no applicators, no application, no problem!
Question, might be rhetorical, did EVERYONE sleep with Grace Slick?

FYI: I attended the event.
When will Obama invite them to the Whitehouse for a beer?
Moran was holding the political event on school property. There were plenty of signs on both sides. Even the Lyndon Larouche followers were distributing their flyers with a picture of Obama as Hitler. I was there.
It amazes me, this security guard goes after this guy for holding your poster, yet liberals were putting flyers on cars depicting all of us “teabaggers” with KKK hoods hanging Obama from a teabag.
Marty Balin didn’t.
I saw the LaRouche kooks there with those signs as well.
There is a legal issue that has to be researched. Just because others were holding them doesn’t mean that it was legal...sort of like..hey everyone else was speeding...why didn’t you give them a ticket.
Selective enforcement of the law might be an issue but you still have to find out what is allowed on school property. There is a different set of rules.
Sure, research it by all means. But in the meantime, I’ll state that I don’t believe the school has any legal right to lease itself out for a political meeting and then allow some jerkwater fascist security guard to make judgments about what kind of speech will be allowed.
You may be aware that all over America schools are even occasionally leased out to religious groups, the Boy Scouts, etc., and when that happens the school has no authority to police the types of speech that take place in such meetings.
I’m not a lawyer, I’m just using some Constitutional and empirical logic.
This was just an example of someone trying to come up with a phony excuse as to why free speech was not allowed. Hell, the cop said he was trespassing by holding the sign.
I was there. The Fairfax County police did nothing to restrict the signs. I was asked to move outside from under the covered walkway because of the echo effect of my bullhorn. But no one tried to restrict my right of free speech or the sign I was holding. This school property issue is just plain nonsense.
"I can arrest you on any charge I choose", "This ain't America any more"."
I'm afraid what this officer is doing here is inviting trouble for those remarks. There's absolutely no way in the world people are going to put up with this kind of mentality from authority figures.
Half white, half black, all RED!
I believe Michelle would not agree with you.
“This ain't America no more.”
correctly reflected an evaluation of what the situation is.>
I watched this video on Hot Air last night and had to get up and walk away from the computer, before shutting it down and calling it a night. It actually made me killing mad an emotion that I really try to avoid. I dont know how much more of this crap I can take before I have to saddle up and start ridding east to set things right. I swore an oath several times starting on 17 Jul 79 that I would defend the US Constitution and this country against all enemies foreign and domestic. We really are at an awkward stage in this nations history it is too late to work within the system and too early to shot the bastards. Stay safe folks and prepare for the worst.
