"I wrote this song with the great Phil Springer. Take a moment to listen to the words. You don't have to agree with everyone's politics...none of us agree 100% of the time. But you have to admire a lifetime dedicated to public service and improving the lives of others -- and that is just one of the many things that made Ted great. I think this song captures a small part of Ted's legacy of service. Listen to it and see what you think."
So wrote Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Ut.) about his friend the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.).

TITLE :
U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch Is A Songwriter!
Somebody needs to tell Borin' Orrin that people are judged by the company they keep...

This is my tribute to Teddy, more fitting.

Chug-a-lug by Roger Miller comes to mind; it fits better.
Hey Orrin,
Did you feel ‘moved’ to write a song about Ronald Reagan when HE passed?
didn’t think so....
“But you have to admire a lifetime dedicated to public service and improving the lives of others — and that is just one of the many things that made Ted great.”
*people are judged by the company they keep...*
yup....Orrin also opportunistically but subtly pads his OWN legacy nest...
Gag me with a spoon!
These are the times that try men's souls.
ML/NJ
NO, thank you.
I agree that yours is a more fitting tribute. When has a democrat ever given a decent tribute to a republican?
I’m sure that Orrin is truly saddened that he wasn’t able to bear Ted Kennedy’s child.
Fer gawdsakes Orrin, give it a rest, or get a room with one of the surviving Kennedys, ok?
Obama’s the first black Kennedy. Hatch is the first Republican Kennedy.
> But you have to admire a lifetime dedicated to public
> service and improving the lives of others
You do not improve the lives of others by taking money by threat of force from one group to give to another, after subtracting about 90% for “administrative costs”, of course.
Neither do you improve the lives of others by advocating they be burned to death in saline solution, or dismembered alive, or have their skulls pierced and their brains vacuumed out as they are being born.
Neither do you improve the lives of others by leaving a woman to die, with no hope of succor from rescue agencies.
Oh Death! (Best death song ever...blue grass.)

My message to Orrin hatch. Bite me.
What planet are these politicians living on?
Rome MUST have been exactly like this.
ORIN HATCH IS A ‘USEFUL IDIOT’ TO THE LIBERALS
WHAT THE HELL HAS HE DONE (WITH HIS *GOOD FRIEND* ) TO PREVENT THE CURRENT MESS
RETIRE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is wrong with Utah? Hatch represents his little Senate club not the conservatives of his state.
Orrin hatch is a good example why Republicans in congress are considered LOSERS by the Rats. Even when the Republicans are in the majority the Rats know they can kick these nancy boys around like a stray dog.
Hey Orrin, under their breaths your “friends” across the isle are snickering at how weak you are.
Orrin should give up his day job.
NO YOU DON'T ADMIRE A MURDEROUS TREASONOUS FAT DRUNKEN WOMANIZING BLOWHARD"
DON'T YOU SEE THAT ORIN?
YOU HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS YOURSLEF- WHAT DID YOU DO TO STOP THIS TRAINWRECK EXCEPT SCHMOOZE WITH FAT TEDDY?
I SAW YOUR SPEACH AT THE FUNERAL - HOW TED WOULD ATTACK YOU WITH THE MOST VILE INSULTS- THEN COME BACK AND PUT HIS ARM AROUND YOU AND SAY "HOW'D I DO?" AWW HYPOCRACY IS SO CUTE!!!!!!!! ISN'T IT?
RETIRE YOU USEFUL IDIOT
Ted Kennedy’s death was the very best day of my life.
They're Rolling Stone Songs. With some lyric changes of course
Oh Teddy dear
Now did ya hear
The news that’s goin’ round
You drove away
To drink and slay
Til Mary Jo was found..
