Wow! That is an incredible story.
My youngest brother was 2 and a half months premature when he was born. The doctors didn’t think he would live and thought that if he did he would be small and weak his whole life. By the time he was a senior in high school he was a nationally ranked cross-country track runner, he went into the Army after college and completed Ranger school (though he was never able to be a Ranger due to a subsequent injury).
My hubby interviewed his Opa in the mid 80’s for an AP history class. He asks many questions about Hitler, the times, why people didn’t stop him, Weimer Republic, etc. He was 10 or so during WW1, so the history account is informative to say the least. It is an amazing video although many people can’t understand the thick accent.
I am glad that your brother got to prove the doctors wrong. I pray that babies will be able to do that forever and not have some government mandate that forbids it.
We thank your brother for his service.
