Although Glenn Beck's hit Fox News show doesn't even air during prime time, he is generating huge prime-time-like numbers at 5 p.m.
TVbytheNumbers.com reports that, despite a liberal group's "boycott" of "The Glenn Beck Program," Beck is striking "pure ratings gold."

I hope Beck’s station Mgr refuses to run adds of those companies that boycotted him. Kick those sponsors to the curb, tell them to go to Chris Mathews and Olberman, let them draw their customers.

His ratings are through the roof because he’s doing an outstanding job of exposing the facists and commies that are populating the zero’s administration.

I wish they would move him a little later. It’s hard to get home and settle in to watch TV by 5. Have him trounce the network “news” at 6 or 7.

Interesting that Beck is the only one who is giving us the low down on this. Limbaugh and Hannity are not focused on the big picture apparently. My one question is can we stop this insanity politically? The arrogance of these people is simply incredible. If the Congress is so gutless now would sending new unproven members in to the mess solve the problem? Have they put something into the drinking water that is affecting them?

What is most interesting is the this is 5p.m. ET only. That’s 4,3, and 2 for the other time zones. So he is competing with the soaps, whose viewership is tanking, and in our market, Oprah. I would love to see his numbers versus these shows in some of the bigger markets.

I first discovered Glenn Beck when he hosted our local afternoon talk radio show, back in 2000. Been a huge fan ever since. People may not like his style, or “get” his show, but he is an honest and sincere guy who does his homework and isn’t afraid to speak the truth. I’m glad to see success is the result of his hard work.

Yes, Fox should replace the BOR replay at 11 with Beck.
Every BOR show is about him doing mirror mirror on the wall. Beck is doing the heavy lifting.

He’s getting the ratings the networks used to consistently get back when they actually reported news.

He is the ONLY one I can see doing true investigative reporting and analysis. He is not merely repeating news from other sources or commenting upon those stories.

We at Corporation X refuse to advertise in the hottest daily show on cable television. We would much rather be viewed as nice than make a profit. As such we will continue to underwrite “Watching Grass Grow” on PBS which our Harvard and Yale educated MBA’s claim is just as effective in reaching our target demographic of people with jobs and a stake in America’s future.

I usually end up listening to his show on satellite radio. I had a lot of driving to do Friday afternoon and heard the entire show that way. The audio alone was very, very powerful...the barbarians are not only through the gates of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but they are redecorating and inviting their friends to come over and play.

Hey, if you're watching beck, you're watching cable...and most cable/satellite providers offer DVR tuners these days, and they are great. I'm on DISH and I have one of there DVR boxes and it means pure, TV, freedom. You can set it to record "all" or "new only" of any program.
I can routinely tape any show I like, at any time of the day, and watch it when I want to watch it, and fast forward through the commercials. I never have to worry about being home in time to catch a program, DVR does it for me.
DVR (or TIVO) gives you true "TV-ON-DEMAND". In fact, I hear that DISH has a larger capacity one out now, so I might upgrade again.
Another great feature is, should you be in the middle of watching real time TV, and get a phone call...you just pause it, and when you hang up the phone, pick up right where you left off...it's great.
I wish someone would adapt the same principle to my car radio so I could tape Rush and listen on the way home in the afternoon....

Being in California I am at work when Glenn Beck airs at 2:00pm. Fortunately Fox reruns him at 11:00 pm, so he is the last thing I watch before bedtime. Still I hold out hope thax Fox will one day switch O'Reilly and becks timeslots. The Factor is old and stale and you know what's coming every night (i.e. Culture Warriors on Monday, Dennis Miller on Wednesday, etc.). Plus O'Reilly often defends and sucks up to 0bama. GB is fresh, innovative and totally unafraid of exposing every crook, scum and human piece of garbage in Washington. The Glenn Beck Program is the best thing on televison these days.

I recently reviewed the entire week's broadcast.
Impressive investigative journalism. He's shaming the MSM.
When Beck, Sean, Levin and Rush are silenced...the balloon has gone up. They are THE tripwire. They and "the internet" (read Free Republic and like sites) will be silenced before they come for our guns and the rest of our property.
"Right wing" media have the lefties on the ropes as the BLUE DOGS (and not just the formal Blue dogs, but all dims from districts/states that voted for McCain) separate.
It's entirely possible to see dims defect en masse.

Have they put something into the drinking water that is affecting them? Don't know about the drinking water, but the anti-depressants being taken by about half the adult population does turn them into zombies, strongly succeptable to suggestion.

But he is airing at 11 pm on the west coast as well with his re-air. They really need to do this:
3 PM - Shep
4 PM - Cavuto
5 PM - On The Record - Greta
6 PM - Baier
7 PM - Hannity
8 PM - O’Reilly
9 PM - Beck
10 PM - Fox Report
11 PM - Dennis Miller
12 AM - Red Eye
1 AM - Beck
2 AM - O’Reilly
3 AM - Hannity
4 AM - Dennis Miller
5 AM - LIVE NEWS/Beck/O’Reilly on weekends.

It’s on at 2 pm here on the left coast, what a pia. Wish they would re run it later. For now I have to catch it at the gym or on Sirius in the office.
That said, it is really phenomenal what Beck has been able to do with such a weak time slot. I imagine some shuffling will happen eventually.

Huh? How is he "brave"? He's a showman. Glad he's got good ratings. I'd actually watch him if he reported the truth on how Joe Smith created his religion and how/when/why they began calling it "Christian". That's a story I really want to see!
To: y6162
Best thing would be to swap Beck and Smith. Beck at 7pm would kick some serious backside.

I'm always half-afraid to watch Beck, thinking he could have a heart attack at any moment. I hope he eats right and has a bottle of cayenne tincture on him at all times [known to "reverse" a
heart attack in some folks], but he certainly is a courageous, likable man.
