Why the 'O'-ministration will implode in weeks
Townhall.com ^ | 8-29-2009 | Kevin McCullough

Posted on 08/30/2009 4:31:29 AM PDT by Kaslin

Never has an administration who had more firepower at their disposal, been set to so totally fail in the next six to eight weeks. It is nearly a foregone conclusion. It is nearly unavoidable. And it defies all logic given the sizable majority the administration has in both houses of Congress.

Since I was the first pundit to predict Obama's presidency (Dec 2006) it behooves me to tell you the course I believe the next few weeks will take and effectively halt the radical transformation that the left appeared unstoppable with only months ago.

1. Health Care's long and painful death.

Barring the existing possibility that the Democrats cram a reform bill down the throats of actively protesting Americans through an ultra-partisan process that would shut out conservatives and Republicans from even being allowed to contribute to the discussion, health care reform is dead. It actually died a good while back when the President decided to pivot and create a new issue that no one had been discussing--health insurance reform. The American people will want to know why we should spend $4 billion to cover everyone in America "efficiently," when we already do so with inefficiencies like people using the emergency room as their general practitioner for $2.5 billion. Deep thinkers on the issue want to know why the President hasn't entertained one item of tort reform--protecting his friends, the trial lawyers--yet is willing to claim that doctors are eager to lop off feet, tonsils, and foreskin just to make a buck.

2. Cap & Trade will be the largest tax increase in American history.

With the 2010 election cycle just around the corner, campaign ads are not far off from being drafted. With Cap & Trade still sitting in legislative limbo, with the President's own advisor--Warren Buffet--now opposing it openly on media, with the 9.12 project in the works in which the largest gathering of anti-tax Americans from the left, right, and middle will be coming to Washington DC on September 12, and with blue dogs getting absolutely hammered in their home districts supporting it, the chance of single-party ram through victory on the matter is not wise. Cap & Trade, if passed, will contribute to unemployment, Wall Street stop and starts, and ultimately reduced treasury revenues. It would serve as the single largest tax increase on the average American in all of American history. Even President Obama admitted as much, predicting that electric bill prices, in his words, would, "skyrocket." Those that have looked at the specifics tell us that the average utility bill in America will go from $167 to $307 per month, per family.

3. Unemployment to remain high.

Now several Washington organizations from left and right, and one of note consisting of both--the Congressional Budget Office, predicts that unemployment will not shrink from the predicted "Obama high" of 8%. Instead, nearly without fail, economists are predicting unemployment at or over 10% for up to the next 24 months. That is nearly 250% the increase in unemployment under Bush for nearly the duration of his two-term presidency. If people were working, higher taxes and possible new health care entitlements could be considered, but without them working it is political suicide for Democrats to even think of it.

4. Obama's integrity tarnished in August.

Not a great deal has been made of the whoppers that the President has been spewing while the Federal Government has been in recess, but it is worth noting that many more people than I had previously realized have notice the President "exaggerating" badly in his talks on health care. For instance confusing he actual $500 physicians get to amputate a foot as opposed to the $50,000 that he claimed they got. He has shown an utter disregard for the reputation of those he talks about, the "facts" he uses to make his argument, and is highly overly optimistic about the results of his policies. Long story short, at the beginning of the summer Americans mostly trusted him, his passion index was at +10, he heads into the fall at -14.

5. A $3 trillion dollar budget.

New spending for this and that sure added up. And that brings me to number 6.

6. A coming middle class tax hike.

They will hem and haw. There will be an official, and ever arrogant Robert Gibbs explanation from the White House Press room as to why they must to do this to be "good stewards" and to be a "responsible administration" that, "pays as it goes." But the truth is, in order to pay for everything they've promised and budgeted for, a tax is looming for small businesses and working families that President Obama promised would never come. And as an aside, he was going to break that promise all along. Because the minute the "Bush tax relief" runs out in 2010, middle class taxes would be going up in an "Obama administration." Hence fundamentally Obama's "not a single dime" pledge on the campaign trail was bollocks start to finish.

Of course the President, the Democrats, the left, and Congressional leadership could surprise me. They could show up in September and endorse the Coburn health care bill in the U.S. Senate and swipe the credit for it. They could show up next week and fight with all their might to not allow the tax rates to skyrocket in 2010. They could decide to scrap Cap & Trade and re-think the use of public money for true job-based economic stimulation.

But I'm not holding my breath, and I'd advise you against it as well.

They've awakened the American worker, the American small-business owner, and the American voter.

All three of which are now wondering aloud, "What on earth have we done?"

I am never going to forget the weepy woman who called C-SPAN about a year ago and claimed to be “a Republican” and who said “Obama and the Democrats may be proposing what people would call Socialism, but we’ve got to give something else a chance.”

OK, Sweetie.

Here it is. We’re giving Socialism a chance.

What do you think now?

A good portion of the American people are completely taken over by marketing. Obama used infomercials to get elected and he's still doing them. People sit there and stare at him and what he's saying and after about two minutes are in a trance. They don't actually hear what he's saying. Further, they never bother to look past the sales receipt (vote).

I don't really think it's going to change much unless we are in a much worse situation financially and each person starts feeling it. So far, they've been pushing off the financial pain to the coming years. Unless people look at the future this idiot in the WH is bringing us nothing much will change.

Hence from that thought will bring a new age of public enlightenment to the reality of the world we live in and what it takes to move past these times. Those who refuse to accept the reality of what liberals, and the apathy to them, have done will be forever marked and scorned, rightfully so, that nobody will want to associate with them.

But as Rush has always said, he doesn’t want a society without liberals because everyone needs to be reminded of what they are and what a better way than to see them.

Oh but wait, that phuckwit McCain told America that we "had nothing to fear from an 0bama Administration"

If the GOP had any REAL leadership they would bounce that doddering old fool out of the Party for throwing the election to the Usurper in the first place.

” They should have thought of the consequences when they all voted for him “

When ya elect a ‘Rorschach’ candidate, is it any surprise that you get an unfocussed, directionless, Administration?

The point Mr. McCulloch misses is that this Administration is comprised of a leaderless gaggle of Cabinet Secretaries, Czars, Aides, and Hangers-on - each pursuing his/her own, not necessarily compatible, agenda...

While the ‘policy’ issues the author lists are important, he’s confusing ‘symptom’ with ‘disease’.....

Should read every line . . . however . . . my first scan concludes that the analysis is flawed.

The OThuga admin may collapse . . . but

only by design.

He has been tasked with shredding the USofA as much as he can get away with—which appears to be an enormous amount.

He is likely also being set up as a fall guy for all the destruction. He deserves it, the demonized stooge of the oligarchy.

The oligarchy wants war in the streets. They want civil war. They want WWIII. They will light off lots of terrorist attacks, likely including nukes. They want lots of death and bloodshed.

Will the festivities begin in 6-8 weeks? Possible. Not certain, I don’t think.

To the oligarchy, the bulk of the population is so many useless eaters threatening survival of mankind and the planet as well as being too troublesome a number to enslave easily and smoothly. So—kill-em-all-off-down-to-200 million became the goal [used to be 500 million—see Georgia Guidestones].

OThuga has been carefully reared and trained to fill this role—as were the Klintoons. Preparing for the AC is dirty work but someone had to be chosen and prepared well. OThuga is a good empty shell of a puppet. He does Teleprompters reasonably well. He mass hypnotizes 70% of his audience with Neuro-Linguistic Programming methods very well.

He’s as ruthless as hell very well.

He could probably grin that sickening grin while slicing his granmummy’s neck . . . and then put his nose in the air in his characteristic Olympic arrogance as if to say—’what’s it to ya.’

What a creature.

It’s amazing how many Americans are still utterly blind and clueless about him. Willful blindness seems to be a big part of the answer for that.

Though sometimes it seems to be genetic political insanity.

The destructiveness and his evil aims are even cropping up in the MSM and still they are clueless and think he’s wonderful. Talk about END TIMES DELUSION from hell. Sheesh.

It’s not enough to stop socialism. The trend that has occurred over the past several decades needs to be reversed in order to take back the country and restore it to the way our founding fathers intended when they wrote the Constitution.

The author hedges, but he fundamentally underestimates the Obama Administration, I think. Obama Reid and Pelosi will pass health care by whatever means necessary. They will also pass some sort of cap and trade (tax) bill that hurts the economy and rewards their benefactors like GE.

There will be a backlash in the 2010 elections, but an army of Democrat activists, ACORN workers, pretty open vote fraud, illegals and a supportive media and legal system will blunt the backlash.

It will take more than standard protests and the ballot box to stop the Obama remaking of America. There needs to be massive demonstrations starting with the 9/12 project march on Washington and assertions of state primacy in most domestic affairs, just to start. Beyond that, the course is not clear, but it is perilous.

A good portion of the American people are completely taken over by marketing.

Coupled with this is a fair number of Americans, particularly younger Americans, who have absolutely no sense of history. They don't know what a Marxist is. Therefore, they didn't recognize what they were voting for. Most have no real concept of economics or mathematics, either. So, the concept of debt and deficits is also foreign to them. It's a very, very bad combination and one that Obamalamadingdong is exploiting to the fullest extent possible.....

we "had nothing to fear from an 0bama Administration"

That was the final straw. McCain, who loves the townhall format, should have responded immediately to the boos that resounded from the crowd. They were informed and knew better.

Don't Blame Me, I voted for Sarah!

“campaign ads are not far off from being drafted”

Unfortunately, the major media has already made an issue of turning down conservative ads—so I think this will have to be mosatly word of mouth(or internet) and youtube.
