NBC's Today Show has hired someone with White House experience as a new correspondent---former First Daugher, Jenna Hager...
The daughter of former President George W. Bush will contribute stories about once a month on issues like education to television's top-rated morning news show, said Jim Bell, its executive producer...

oy. Godspeed, kiddo.
WTF?????. Good Luck.
Well, jobs ARE hard to find these days. A person has to take whatever they can get.
Oh, I get it..the token conservative like Liz Hasselbeck on the View, on the most liberal network aside from ABC. Good luck, J.
What????????????????? Fox isn’t hiring?
I am sure the hiring decision
was based solely on her qualifications.
Have a nice day!
We’ve only watched Conan three times since he took over The Tonight Show. The last two viewings were last week; he made lame and unfunny Pres. Bush and Sarah Palin jokes. Even the audience barely laughed. I guess we won’t see any Obama jokes, will we? LAME.
Don't trust them, Jenna..
Megan McCain seething in jealously, film at a 11:00.
Still no NBC for me ...
Luke Russert worked out so well...I’m guessing Jenna can actually do the job.
We’ve never watched it since Conan took over.
What, NBC has news?
Jenna’s gone over to the Dark Side. Escape, Jenna, while your mind is still yours.
She should do a story on how Obama and the Dems are killing the school voucher system and charter schools that offer the urban kids in DC their best chance of a good education. I’m sure that will fly with her new boss. /s/
Is she a conservative? Her father is only conservative on a few issues. Even if HE were it doesn’t mean a daughter would hold the same positions.
Token Republican maybe with, they hope, buzz to follow given her name. Beyond that I have no idea where she stands on any issue.
Jenna stuck by her dad and became a liberal.
It won't help.
If I was Jenna, I would refuse to work for NBC after their constant trashing of George W Bush.
However Jenna Bush is an apolitical person despite being the daughter of Dubya. Last Summer, Laura Bush and Jenna were on Larry King. Jenna was asked who she prefered Obama or McCain. Jenna admitted she wasn’t paying attention to the Presidential race. If Jenna works for NBC on a long term basis, Jenna might morph into a liberal. Just see MSNBC’s token “conservative”, Joe Scarborough.
Haven't seen any evidence that Jenna is a "conservative". Have you?
“Jenna stuck by her dad and became a liberal.”
Your logic is absurd.
Jenna got a job. Good for her.
OMG - she was MUCH cuter as a blonde!
Hey, didn’t she used to have blond hair?
I think she was hired to do specials on her grandfather, who is not well.
Not sure but this is exactly what we want - conservatives infiltrating and being hired into liberal networks.
BTW- I was not criticizing Jenna but rather, making a statement about her dad.
Re: “The National Barack Channel?
Where Brian Williams offers the sacrifice of praise to Obozo?
Where Conan OBrien and Jimmy Fallon bash Sarah Palin and praise Obozo regularly?
Call me skeptical of their motives”
NBC’s way of saying, “see, we can be fair and balanced too...”
Good luck to Jenna but good grief, sounds like she is a pawn...
“The last two viewings were last week; he made lame and unfunny Pres. Bush and Sarah Palin jokes.”
You won’t be seeing Conan much longer.
You will soon see what a useful idiot she is...
You make the mistake of thinking she’s a conservative. NBC hired her for a sole purpose.
Diane Sawyer started as a personal assistant to former President Nixon, helping him write his memoirs. When she first went to work for ABC it was thought that she would be a conservative, and at first she displayed some evidence that she leaned that way. But she was never an ideologue and a short time at ABC had her following the liberal party line. I fear that this will happen to Jenna.
They always are so desperate to lure decent people to give them the sham appearance of legitimacy when the scum of NBC and Today have time and again slandered and demeaned and attacked her father and family.
I’ve watched The Tonight Show less than ten times since Carson left. I wonder if he would have had the wherewithal to throw some zingers at Zero during his monologues.
Aw geez. I don’t have positive thoughts about this.
“Jenna stuck by her dad and became a liberal.”
LOL!! Good point. Probably pro-abortion like her mom, too.
Umm.. Jenna voted for Obama.
she looks more like her sister Barbara there.....
“Megan McCain seething in jealously,...”
I was indifferent as I read the article and comments, until I read your perspective. Now I am totally thrilled at Jenna’s opportunity and loving the indirect diss at Megan McCain.
Personally, I could never work or live around so many liberals, but I am more conservative than her Dad and she is even less so. Actually she seems pretty apolitical, which means when she decides on an issue will be emotion based i.e. liberal.
Ummm . . . I suppose you were in the booth with her.
I don’t know how she voted, and neither do you. If she, a 20-something, did indeed vote for Obama, then she was in the deluded majority.
At least she voted, which can’t be said for a lot of FReepers who sat at home and whined and, as far as I’m concerned, have no right to gripe.
There are really important things going on in this country right now. This thread is silly.
But maybe some comic relief is healthy.
I’m happy for Jenna and hope the new job works out well for her.
Is he really pushing the Bush and Palin jokes? Obama has given more material for comedians to use in 8 months than Bush did over 8 years.
Fallon has absolutely ZERO conversational skills...that is his main problem. They all need to get off the safe wagon of not making fun of Obama.
