What is the content of the paper like? Local TV stations are almost as bad as owning a newspaper.

Wellllll....Financial analysts in the US are cleaning up after the elephants at circuses and state fairs these days, I heard.

No kidding.

A real news article in the last day or so.

Pity. Sanest paper in California. Sure, they reprint a lot of wire stuff with the usual leftish MSM perspective. But their editorials, columnists and endorsements are as good as it gets in Kalifornistan. I hope they can reorganize successfully and quickly.

I think the Editorial page still reflects that....not the rest of the paper.

I think they use to have a chain of small weeklies and twicer-weeklies that were conservative. I don’t know what happened to them.

They run a lot of open borders propaganda. From Friday:

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/immigration-people-old-2545526-illegally-vigil

And a few of their regular columnists are consistently awful:

# Yvette Cabrera: “Desperation is setting in” for OC’s neediest
# Yvette Cabrera: Is hate on the rise in O.C.?
# Yvette Cabrera: Illegal and smart? Education can continue
# Yvette Cabrera: Not illegal, just a human being
# Yvette Cabrera: Obama’s words resonate, give hope

OC Register is a good paper. Like virtually all media companies dominated by print media, they are going to have to figure out a workable business model. Not sure what that will be.

The Orange County Register ping!

Freedom Communications Inc. owns 32 daily and 77 weekly newspapers, including The Monitor, The Valley Morning Star, The Brownsville Herald, and the The Mid Valley Town Crier, in South Texas.

Two Sundays ago, the OC Register ripped HR3200 to shreds. Any Congressperson from Orange County who votes for HR3200 should be crucified.
