THE Taliban chief who threatened to slaughter Prince Harry has been assassinated by special forces soldiers. Australian marksmen "took out" Mullah Abdul Karim in a secret mission sanctioned by top brass.
It was part of a concerted campaign designed to rid lawless Oruzgan province of hardcore militants.
Similar covert operations are believed to have wiped out more than half a dozen senior Taliban leaders.
Karim gained notoriety last year by describing Harry, then serving with the Household Cavalry in southern Helmand, as an "important chicken".
Threatening to kill the prince - third in line to the throne - he added: "He is our special enemy."

Obama is expected to issue a statement later this morning condemning the violence and failure to respect this guys civil rights.
No doubt Obama will send a letter of condemnation for killing a muslim.

..... Afghan mountain tribesmen were historically considered to be great marksmen. The great irony here is that the Taliban are now being taken to school by some very good marksmen from “out of town”.

The issue, of course, is that the Talib went through a lot of the great marksmen during their war with Massoud.
You become a great marksman by growing up in the hills hunting for game. I wonder just how much of that is still going on after four decades of war.

There are no “bad” guys anymore; they’re just misunderstood freedom fighters who, in their extreme frustration with our arrogant imperialism, have found their inner rage impossible to contain and therefore they have tapped into the inner evil that we all have (and would ourselves express if we were forced to live in their circumstances!) and they are expressing themselves and releasing all of their pent up anger in the only way they know because they have been deprived of all the advantages of a good education at H-a-r-r-r-r-r-r-v-u-r-d....
