Massachusetts Cuts Back Immigrants’ Health Care

BOSTON — State-subsidized health insurance for 31,000 legal immigrants here will no longer cover dental, hospice or skilled-nursing care under a scaled-back plan that Gov. Deval Patrick announced Monday.
Mr. Patrick said his administration had struggled to find a solution “that preserves the promise of health care reform” after the state legislature cut most of the $130 million it had previously allotted immigrants, to help close a budget deficit.
Although their health benefits will be sharply curtailed in some cases, Mr. Patrick portrayed the new program as a victory, saying the services that the affected group tends to use the most will still be covered.
“It’s an extraordinary accomplishment,” he said in a conference call with reporters, “to offer virtually full coverage for the entire population that’s been impacted in the face of really extraordinary budget constraints.”

Illegal alien benefits are eating away at all manner of state’s social benefits for their own legal citizens and those legal citizens also include democrats, union members and even Kool Aid drinking liberals.

There are 25 million++ illegal alien peasants in America who represent about 1/2 the “46 million uninsured.”
Currently these 20 million++ illegal peasants from Mexico and Mesoamerica are sucking up HUGE amounts of America’s very generous social services.
It is very clear that the “health care reform” scam is an attempt to hoodwink the everyday American taxpayer and force them to reduce their own health care services while supporting the “universal coverage” of illegal aliens and layabouts.

Bingo! Obama DeathCare is to steal AMERICAN seniors benefits including Soc Sec, Medicare and eventually their life savings thru higher estate taxes and give it to the more “deserving” illegal aliens, unions and third worlders.
And tonight they put it back.... it’s how it works up here. We’re fighting RI and Ill for the most corrupt democrats — and we’ve had Czars for a while up here. I think we’ve nosed ahead of those states, but we’ll see if they change the Kennedy seat to really lap the field.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick announced this morning that 31,000 legal immigrants whose state-subsidized health insurance was set to expire this week have received a last-minute reprieve — although their coverage will not resume until October.
Using $40 million in emergency money designated by the Legislature, Patrick’s health and insurance czars reached an agreement with CeltiCare Health Plan of Massachusetts, a subsidiary of Missouri-based Centene Corp., to provide basic medical care for the immigrants through its health care network.
The NY Times says they are “legal” immigrants but I am sure they are some of the illegals in MA not all of them. I bet a s***hole like Mass has a 1 million or more illegals.
So the actual legal immigrants will have services cut thus will have join their illegal counterparts in using the much more expensive emergency care services that the taxpayers will have to pick up the tab as usual.
What’s the saying?: Cut your nose to spite your face.
Needless to say the article doesn’t mention illegal immigrants which is impossible to do when one mentions legal immigrants.
I think the reference is to “legal” immigrants.
Do the math too. 40 million... for 31,000 LEGAL (cough, cough) legal immigrants. That is ~ $1300.00 for EACH immigrant per year. You have to assume a lot of those folks are families - if so, then you’re looking at a much higher per capita for these folks in “reduced care” then we have as citizens born here. If they had stuck with their original number of 130 million then it would have been $5200 per legal immigrant.
Oh... and the kicker is our rates went up... WAY up after the MA healthcare mandate. My health insurance went from $382/month (individual) to $542/month. Called Fallon (the insurer I have) and they said it’s all because of the new law. Nothing can be done about it - just pay it. You folks don’t know how bad it is with universal healthcare. We do.
OH SURE. After they completely bankrupt a city, then they decide to cut back....hmmmmmm Sounds like California, Michigan, cleveland.......
