Ice cream company fetes gay marriage

Ben & Jerry’s is temporarily renaming popular “Chubby Hubby” ice cream “Hubby Hubby” beginning today to celebrate the start of legalized gay marriage in its home state of Vermont.

“The legalization of marriage for gay and lesbian couples in Vermont is certainly a step in the right direction, and something worth celebrating with peace, love - and plenty of ice cream,” Ben & Jerry’s CEO Walt Freese said in announcing the sugary switch.

Let me get this straight (pardon the pun)... a CORPORATION that makes a product known to kill thousands of people each year from heart attack is spending corporate funds to support gay marriage in Vermont? Why are the Lefties not picketing this evil corporation for the damage it does to CHILDREN and DEMOCRAT PARTY members who consume this dangerous substance? Maybe Congress should direct the FDA to regulate Ice Cream as a hazardous substance or a dangerous food. Think of the number of heart attacks that could be prevented each year if Ben & Jerry's were shut down.

I can’t say I am boycotting Ben and Jerry’s ice cream...I just never buy it. IMO, it doesn’t taste all that much better than ice creams that cost less than half as much. I do not consider it a good value for my buck so it never hits my shopping cart.

Ben and Jerry’s isn’t not hippy dippy little ice cream company from Vermont.

Ben and Jerry’s is a wholly owned subsidiary of Unilever Corp since 2000.

So this decision to support sodomite marriage actually came from the corporation that brought you such brands as Lipton Tea, Best Foods/Hellman’s mayo, Slim-Fast, Dove Soap, and Degree antipresperant.

But then again Uni-Lever does make Vasoline so.....

I know what you mean. I bought some last year when my wife and I went to the movies for her birthday. Saw a Ben and Jerrys and had never been in one before. $12.00 for one scoop each. WTF!!

It’s a lousy excuse for ice cream. I grew up on a Minnesota dairy farm and I know ice cream. The stuff tastes like quiescently frozen whipped lard with too much cheap flavor added. Its OK to overcharge stoners and yuppies for a crappy product but anyone who knows anything about ice cream can get better stuff cheaper.

If you want to boycott the makers, that means no Breyers, Popsicles, Klondike bars or Good Humor man. (Actually, given the B & J connection, you might want to stary away from that Good Humor man.)

And... the carbon footprint of hauling all of that milk to Vermont in trucks that burn fossil fuel. The rights of those poor cows who are kept for all of their lives in confined feed operations merely to harvest milk. The electricity (coal and oil generated) that runs the coolers that keep that iced cream cool. The labor that is exploited by the greedy capitalist pigs who own that company (labor union pension funds, etc.) Think of the CHILDREN! Those poor kids subjected to obesity and poor health from a non-vegan diet.

Truly, Ben & Jerry's is a scourge on the global community and must be purged from our global village before Mother Earth succumbs to its relentless injuries! Call Holder now.. DEMAND he act against this enemy of the state today!
