Rassmussen Obama at 45% Approval, 53% disaapprove.
Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. That’s down a point from yesterday and the lowest level of total approval yet measured for Obama. Fifty-three percent (53%) now disapprove.
Somewhere, George W. Bush must be laughing his head off.
What's to "somewhat approve"? He buys his kids ice cream? He chooses nice vacation spots? He has nice creases in his pants?
I’m just happy from the looks of it, Ted Kennedy dropping dead did him no favours and gave him no traction.
The bigger story is that his overall approval rating is now -8, where it had been essentially 50/50 for a long time.
That category is an appeal to the good nature and white guilt of the populace.
They’re trying to show SOME category where he still scores high.
Seems a lot of people have opened their eyes but there is always a percentage of people who will never get it ? 45 %
The thing is by the looks of at least at the baseline 30% of the country think he can do no wrong but 41% hate his guts.
It would be hilarious if he weren’t pulling the country down with him.
It seems obvious the question is whether Obama will “triangulate” like Clinton or simply ride his leftism down to utter destruction. I’m guessing the latter.
~34% of the country is self-described ‘minority’.
At least we’re not hearing in the state-run media: “The popular young President...”
I doubt it. Dubya may have ticked me off as often as not but I think he still loves this country. What that fool in D.C. does in not funny.
I see 1994 redux in my crystal ball.
Lets just hope the Gelding Old Party gets a testicle & spine implant before next year.
I hear Hillary tried to get a copy of Hussein’s Birth Certificate while she was in Kenya....J/K LOL
“...or simply ride his leftism down to utter destruction. Im guessing the latter.”
I’m HOPING the latter!
You beat me by 19 seconds.
I know that he has most all the blacks (12%), but is there really 33% that are Marxist?
This week just keeps getting better!
Must be the extra caffeine this morning! :-)
I thought the 45% approval looked much better than just Daily poll. Yes and notice how they always bury the overall approval half way down.
Remember how we were reminded every time that Bush dropped .0001% points? Nothing in the news now.
Let me clarify. President Bush was savaged by the media, his poll numbers were abysmal since he could do absolutely no right. No President in our history has been so publicly savaged. He endured those alligators for eight years. Obama gets his in what, eight months? I’d be laughing.
I’m just amazed the gump managed to waste so much political capital and drop over 20 points in 6 months. Well I’m not that amazed, I always figured abysmal failure and Obama went together. When you look back at the mans life record, it just shouts “charming lying used car salesman”.
The groups he is paying off, as he promised during the election, are firmly in his corner. Unionized workers (SEIU, UAW, NEA, etc.), people who pay no taxes, fringe "rights" groups (pick it - homosexual rights, pro-abortion "feminists", environemental radicals, etc.), people who pay no taxes, and the young urban hipsters (who, ironically, will pay the price for Obama's Excellent Adventure).
What we're seeing now is that the people who don't like him are finding it increasingly safe to criticize him to others, which is causing a hit on his overall approval ratings.
It took GW 37 months to drop under 50%. Obama 6, lol.
Isnt it funny that the 2 presidents who wnet under 50% the fastest were carter and Clinton and lookey the third Dem president to drop like a stone, i wonder who that is?
I don’t know, kellynla. Yesterday I saw Hatch emoting about cooperation and reaching across the aisle on the health care bill—some Republicans still haven’t gotten the memo we’ve all been sending them.
I'm not so sure. He is the kind that lets poll numbers guide his decisions. He loves being in power more than anything and as it becomes clearer to him that he's going downhill fast, he just might abandon a few things on his "wish list".
Figure that he has the blacks (12%).
Throw in the die-hard Dems that always vote (D), even if Hitler is on their ballot. Add the white-guilt libs who can't, or won't, admit that voting for Obama was a mistake. Also the (non-taxpaying) college kids who think "That Black Guy" is "Cool", ACORN operatives, Dead People, and Actors/Actresses/Pop Culture Divas that need to be trendy.
I'd say that BO has a floor somewhere around 30%. Plus or minus a couple.
Just like Bush. :)
Truly, this *has* worked out better than I thought it would. I figured that we be in for at least six months of honeymooning stories about "The First Black President To (whatever)". Instead, we've got "The First Black President to be Less Successful than Jimmy Carter", and we're not even 8 months in yet.
You mean, he got a dead Kennedy bounce.
The vacation did not help because Barry forgot to STFU while being out of town.
This poll is bogus. How can a man with those amazing creases not be loved by the populous?
OH, OH, I FILL SOMETHING RUNNING UP MY LEG!
Uh oh, maybe its down my leg.
For the State Run Media's favorite faux conservative Obamaphile David Brooks, that is evidently indeed the case:
I remember distinctly an image ofwe were sitting on his couches, and I was looking at [Obama's] pant leg and his perfectly creased pant, Brooks says, and Im thinking, a) hes going to be president and b) hell be a very good president. In the fall of 2006, two days after Obamas The Audacity of Hope hit bookstores, Brooks published a glowing Times column. The headline was Run, Barack, Run.
I'm sure that's the quote to which you were referring in your post, but I just had to clarify it in case there might be some here who might not have read Brook's breathlessly vacuous revelation yet.
And this ditz thinks Sarah Palin is shallow? This man makes Paris Hilton sound downright profound. Next time he's on TV, I must remember to scrutinize his hairline for those telltale blonde roots.
yeah everytime he opens that colossal trap and sticks those jug ears on tv, his numbers fall further. Over exposure, the guy is like Joan Collins, would go to the opening of an envelope.
Where and when was that wreck? Looks like fun to clean up.
Unlike Clinton, this guy has some core values (few of which I agree with). I am sure Gibbs is correct, and Barry is willing to go down with the ship.
