Did I hear correctly also that people who got cash in this deal are going to have to count it as income?! Unreal. That will come as a rude shock to many next April 15. Of course B0 will get no blame.

Big deal. It’s been a total of 36 days since the program went into effect and the first sale could have been made. Filing paperwork, verifiying, revising, etc. all takes time. I wonder how many filings Billion had to redo because when dealing with the gov’t every I must be dotted and each T crossed. I wonder how much float Billion tries to impose on his suppliers?
I don’t know if it is counted as income (my guess is it will be) but the local news featured some people that were SHOCKED that they had to pay sales tax on the subsidy. No way the county and state are missing out on their cut of the $4500! I can’t say I’m displeased with that- its just a subtle reminder to them where their “free” clunker money actually came from...
